Wait!? What Do You Mean?!

*Third Person Pov*

Back in Konohagakure, the Uchiha clan held a meeting. Itachi and Shisui though were on a mission for the ANBU black ops. Sasuke and Selena are as well on a mission. Unbeknown to the rest of the Uchiha clan both Itachi and Shisui were there. When they heard the words spoken from Fugaku Uchiha, head of the clan they rushed to inform the head of the ANBU.

"The Uchiha clan intends to revolt against Konohagakure." Itachi speaks as he bows. The Fourth Hokage-Minato Namikaze- and also The Third Hokage, the Council elders and Danzo-head of the ANBU- was all in the room. The elders went up in an uproar, wanting the Uchiha's to be dealt with immediately.

"We will deal with it accordingly." The Fourth Hokage announces calmly. "We will try to reason with them first."

"I'm sorry Lord Fourth, did I hear correctly? They wish to attack and you want to talk it over?" Danzo asks in mockery.

"And what exactly do you suppose we do?" Lord Third asks raising an eyebrow.

"I say we eliminate the scum! Before they have to chance to even come close to attacking the village! They're just useless anyway!" He yells.

"Don't speak so carelessly in front of Itachi and Shisui." Lord Third scolds.

-scene change-

Back in the Land of Waves with team 5&7 Naruko and Sasuke sat in the woods after a long day of training to talk. As she promised to give him a moment of her time to speak. They sat in silence for a while. The only sound was their thoughts.

'Why did she have to go and poke my head like that?' Sasuke thought somewhat bitterly but confused.

"Sasuke...?" Naruko speaks first. He looks at her and she sighs. Well more her breath hitches in her throat. See she's actually been in love with him forever but she's never admit it. She didn't even realize until Selena had said something to her. She tries to recall when she fell in love with him.

-flashback-
It was Naruto and Naruko's sixth birthday. Only their parents and them celebrated because neither had many friends. As Naruko was heading home from the academy when she was cornered by some older kids. They began to bully her and beat her up. That's when Sasuke happened to walk by with Selena.

"Sasuke lets help." Selena says gently. Her longish black hair tied in a braid.

"Fine." He says simply. Within a matter of seconds Sasuke stood in between Naruko and the older kids. The small blonde with whiskers and bright blue eyes looked up scared but thankful. She was covered in bruises and cuts. She had blood dripping down her face and arm from trying to block their attacks but failing. "Why don't you pick on someone more skilled?"

"You're just a brat too!" The bullies laughed. They came at the two but before they could realize it Selena and Sasuke had beat the older kids. Sending them running home crying.

"Hey, are you okay?" Selena asks as she bent down to help Naruko up.

"I-I'm fine...thanks." Naruko mutters looking down at the ground sadly.

"You're bleeding. Let's take you back to the house where mom can heal you." Sasuke says holding a hand out to help Naruko stand.

"Uh... I...I said I'll be fine. I wouldn't want you two to get be bullied because of me.." she whispers looking down. "Besides....I'll heal soon.. I always heal."

"What do you mean?" Selena had asked confused, but before Naruko could explain she began to heal.

"The Kyuubi was sealed in me when I was born... he heals me when needed.." she mutters to them.

"Isn't today your birthday then?" Selena asks, Naruko's eyes widen slightly but she nods her head yes.

"Then why aren't you celebrating with your friends?" Sasuke asks.

"I...I don't have any.." Naruko says looking down.

"Well now you do! Come on! Let's go do something!" Selena yells pulling Naruko up by her hands happily.

"Huh?" Naruko's eyes widen confused.

"We're your friends now! So let's hang out like friends!" Selena says again.

"What Selena said. Let's hang out sometime. Maybe you'll catch up to me in the academy then." Sasuke says with a small smirk.

-end flashback-

Ah, that's when. The day he saved her and encouraged her to become better. That's when she fell in love.

"Do you remember that day you saved me? The first time, y'know on my sixth birthday?" Naruko says with a small smile.

"Yeah. Why?" He asks. Naruko turns and smiles at him. She lifts her hand up and pokes his forehead. Her face a bright red. His face turns bright red too and puts his hand where she poked. "Wh-what was that for?" He stammers.

"Hehe." Naruko giggles covering her face. "Obviously, I was telling you I like you Sasuke. Maybe more then like you..." Naruko says as her face turns as red as her mother's hair. She tries to hide behind her jacket but isn't successful.

"I...uh...I." Sasuke stammers. He sighs and looks at Naruko. Taking in her long blonde hair that's tied in pigtails. He admires how her eyes shine like sapphires and how her whisker markings seem to go perfectly with her. He leans closer and pokes her forehead, Naruko's eyes widen.

"Sa-Sasuke.." Naruko stutters. Her mouth agape not knowing what to do or say, her hand goes to her forehead and she gently brushes her fingers where his were. Sasuke's hand goes to her hair, he pulls a piece gently from the others and twirls it in his hands.

"Naruko, lets promise each other something." Sasuke suggest after some silence.

"Like what?" Naruko asks curiously.

"No matter what happens in the future, we'll come back to each other." Sasuke says as he lets her hair down.

"Sasuke, we'll always be together. Don't talk as if one of us are going to disappear." Naruko replies smiling at him.

"Naruko, we live as ninjas. Anything can happen. Please, promise we'll live long enough to get married. I can't stand the thought of ever losing you.." Sasuke says looking away. A flashback of when Naruko finally surpassed him in the academy goes through his mind. That's the day, he fell madly in love with her.

"Okay Sasuke. I promise." Naruko says poking his forehead. He smiles slightly and pokes her forehead back.

"Let's not say anything to anyone yet." Sasuke says all of a sudden being nervous.

"Probably will be best." Naruko giggles as she stands up and puts her hand out to help Sasuke up. "Together, we'll be unstoppable. As long as we always are honest and never shut each other out."

"Right." Sasuke takes her hand and pulls himself up. "Let's not keep things from each other." She nods in agreement.
