Since there's a background for Nixxon, I might as well post Layla's. I'll talk like this more for her though since the art doesn't cover everything.

Okay, here's her original family.

Her mother wasn't...the nicest or the most stable. She was totally abusive to the whole family and guilt tripping the soft hearted dad. The worst thing about her is that she hated Layla. She hated Layla because she was born a girl and not a boy like she wanted.

Because of this, the mom hated her long hair and wanted to cut it short to fulfill her desires in any desperate way possible

Because of this, the mom hated her long hair and wanted to cut it short to fulfill her desires in any desperate way possible. Gave Layla boys clothing and toys, everything you can think of.

After a time, there came a day where the mom couldn't take a mental breakdown.

Layla was the only survivor. She never told me exactly how it went down.

Without any close relatives, any relatives at all, she was sent to a rehab center with a trash bag-full of her things that she could carry.

She stayed there for about four months. Her hair kept short by her caretakers after she was moved to an orphanage because she never complained or said anything at all about her hair.

The first time I met her, I was making rounds to different locations Im familiar with, to sick children and the sort. Reading stories and such to children who didn't have anyone to it for them.
