Not So Normal

Everything seems unbalanced.

My world seems to be tilting.

I tilt and strain my neck

to make it seem regular.

Dizziness invades my mind

as my world

tilts

and tilts.

Nothing seems normal...

And nothing will ever be...

For my world.

Tilting,

tilting,

and tilting,

my world points like the Earth's axis

till I fall.

The ground slips from below me,

pulling me closer

and closer

to the sky.

I fall

as I tilt

and tilt.

The ground that was once below

is now disappearing above me

as I fall

into the clouds.

Nothing will ever be normal...

Nothing ever is...

for my world.

Not knowing when

this agony of waiting...

waiting of nothing...

will end,

I shut my eyes.

I open them once more.

My blankets and pillows are above me.

Moonight shines through a window

and illuminates

this  normal world

that I wake up to.

My head throbs

and I slowly pick myself up

to climb back into my bed,

back into my

not so normal world.
