Chapter 8

Another day full of bull.

Last night I had told Tanner who had approached me and once I mentioned his name he went off. Basically this is how it went down.

"So....Are you ever gonna tell me what happen out there?"

I look up at him shocked. Should I even tell him? I mean I do trust him right? Of course I do. Well, not completely because we haven't been together that long for me to trust him completely.

"Well?" Tanner said impatiently. I twiddled with my fingers for a bit until I looked up to Tanner there with an unpleased look on his face.

"It was Brody. He was ju-"

"Oh, Khristina please don't make an excuse for his desperate self. I might have been at your school for like a week but I let you in on one thing. I watched you around halls because you were perfect but you didn't seem to notice me. I saw what he does to you. He needs to keep his distance. You know I'm going to deal with this on Monday! Which is tomorrow even better!"

I looked at him with shock. He just erupted into a rapid machine gun shooting bullets at me! He blew out a frustrated sigh and slammed his hands on the table, making me jump. He walked out of the parlor and walked back to his car.

I payed for our ice cream and ran out after him calling his name.

"Tanner! Tanner, wait!" by time I had reached him he was now turned around facing me.

"Tanner it's really not a big deal. I'm able to defend myself. You don't need to get involved." his eyes went into little slits. "Khristina I'm going to do something either way! And now I am involved!"

"Tanner 1. can you stop yelling and 2. If your gonna do something please promise me it won't be too much to where you'll get suspended, expelled, or arrested?" he laugh at the last one which made me crack a smile.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Now I'm wondering what Tanner is gonna do to Brody. I know I hate his guts but at same time I'm not that evil. I have some sympathy when it comes to people's life.

I look at my phone to see it's 7:30 already. Gah-lee time goes fast! I jump out of bed slipping on my slippers and running to my bathroom and turning on the shower.

I hurry up and get out of the shower and throw some clothes onto my bed. A white crop top with long sleeves and high waisted shorts with my white converses. To give it some other color I put on my gold watch, spiky bracelet, and my chunky necklace.

I realize my hair is wet so I just throw that into a messy bun for today. I'm thinking about dying my hair. Hmm. Brunette. Khristina your gonna be late!

Oh right!

I grab my car keys and say my goodbyes to my parents driving my way to school.

I walk to my locker and see Brody coming my direction.

He looks up and when he sees my face he immediately fast walks past me. What did Tanner do? I mentally smack myself in the face shaking my head. I began opening my locker, still forgetting these god damn numbers. '3,30,6'

Shit! Wrong. I keep trying till I finally figure it out: '3,26,6'

While I'm getting my books out my locker I feel hands wrap around my bare skin that's being exposed and lips kissing on my neck, which makes me squeal and turn to see Tanner smirking with amusement.

I go on my tippy toes to give him a kiss but then I remember. Brody.

"Tanner what did you do to Brody?" I ask him pushing back with my hands on his chest. He slowly let's go of my waist. "Khriss, you really think I was gonna let him get away with this? Well your wrong because I won't have that with you." I look at him sternly. "What. Did. You. Do." I say now through gritted teeth.

"All I did was talk to him about a few things and maybe rough housed him a little but not too much." I rolled my eyes now, closing my locker and walking to 1st period class.
