Next Morning

I woke up to large arms around my body and I look around seeing Tyler next to me in my bed. Last mights memories flooding my mind. I kiss him lightly on his forehead and get out if the bed quietly pulling a sweatshirt over my head reminding myself that I can't walk around in a t-shirt because, I have Jewels. I walk to her room seeing her with her Wonder Woman doll hugged to her chest and her sleeping peacefully. I smile going to the kitchen getting a start on breakfast. I grab all my ingredients for french toast and grab the bacon out if the fridge cooking that up too. My phone is buzzing from an incoming text message and look at it.

<Aria> Hey, we need to talk.

<Me> About?

<Aria> How much time she's spending around you and Tyler.

<Me> What's wrong with how much time she's spending with us?

<Aria> I just don't want her getting attached and then him just leaving.

<Me> So what are you saying?

<Aria> I don't want him around her.

<Me> What the hell is wrong with you?! Literally everything I've ever done is for her best interests and you know that. You're hurting her by staying with Matt. I can't do this right now. I'm the happiest I've been in such a long time.

I send the last message shutting off the phone putting it on silent. I finish cooking breakfast making coffee looking at the clock it being 11 o'clock in the morning. I walk to Jewels room seeing Tyler playing the dolls with her.

"Hey." I say softly smiling so much, my heart melting as I watch them together.

"Morning Aunt Bell." Jewels says enthusiastically waving the barbies clutched in her tiny hands around.

"Hey." Tyler says standing up coming over and kissing me gently. I kiss him one more time once we break away.

"Breakfast is ready." I say smiling.

"Sounds great. C'mon Jewels your Aunt Bell made us breakfast." Tyler says holding his hands out to her she gets up bringing the Wonder Woman doll with her and grabbing his hand with her free hand. She starts babbling about all the things she loves about Wonder Woman. I follow them into the kitchen turning back on my phone. I give Jewels a little plate with a set amount of food on it. I handed Tyler his plate, so he could make his own plate.

"Whatcha wanna do today Jewels?" I ask her softly.

"Wanna watch Wonda Woman." She replies holding her barbie high in the sky.

"We did that yesterday, we have to do something different today." I tell her.

"I don't know." She says finishing her breakfast and going into her room.

"We could all do something if you wanted. I'm not working today." Tyler says smile plastered across his face.

"Aria said some things I'm not OK with this morning. She wants me to bring her back home but, I don't think I can. She also said that she doesn't want you around her cause you might leave." I tell him slowly trying collecting my thoughts trying not to let my feelings get in the way.

"She thinks that little of me?" He asks shock all over his face.

"I told her off for even saying that but, that doesn't mean she'll let me keep Jewels."

A loud knock on my door sounds throughout the house. I quickly go to my door looking through the peephole seeing it's Matt. I close it quickly feeling my breathing speed up. I slowly open the door when Matt practically pushes his way into the loft.

"Where is Juliet?" He asks me anger on his face.

"She's eating her breakfast. You can't just barge into my loft Matt."

"I can when you have my daughter." He starts stomping his way into the kitchen seeing Tyler and Jewels.

"Daddy?" Jewels says shock across her face.

"Yes Princess." Tyler giving me a confused look and I stand there not knowing what to do.

"Jewels, why don't you get dressed while I talk to your dad." I say softly to her.

Jewels practically runs out of the room and into hers.

"She's coming home. She has school and Aria misses her."

"If that's true then why'd Aria ask me to take her for a couple of weeks. Or did you smack her around until she was so scared she changed her mind. I've seen the bruises and the scars Matt."

"You know nothing."

"I know everything."

At that he makes a face yelling for Jewels. She comes out reluctantly and I hug her tightly before Matt takes her away. I feel myself starting to cry rubbing my eyes when the tears start to fall.

"You need to get her out of there."

"I know. I don't know how. I can barely support myself lead alone her too."

"If you get that job you applied for could you then?"

"Yeah, I could."
