"Fasten your seatbelt, child!"

"Things are about to get wild!"

I nod and grin confidently

Wait for the ride to begin patiently.

And then the wind is in my hair

Excited shouts light up the air

The rails move beneath me

Our ride gains speed

The regret begins to kick in

Wonder why I even got in!

But I smile for my sake

My heart thudding, my life at stakes.

The clear blue sky get nearer

In our wide eyes, there is fear

We have to go through the ultimate downfall

The realization makes our hearts fall

Some start to cry

But I imagine that I am flying

We stop and I frown

Before I could think, we're going down, down!

I scream but hold my ground

Wave my arms with bravery newly found

And then the ride halts with strain

I think it's time to go again
