What a life I've lived. born in 1923, raped at age 9, my brother went missing in 1939, turned into a vampire in 1942, parents died in 1951 and 1953 and here in 2014 I still stand. April was still alive, living in a home in Florida. she had turned 93 a few months back. she was the only rogers to actually live a happy, full life. she had got married and had a healthy baby boy who now was married also.
I walked into the lab and sat down at one of the stools. I was considering going to see Loki. just to see what he had to say, but I couldn't go during the day. Steve and Fury would be there in a heartbeat and make me leave. I would go tonight.
I checked the clock once more on my desk in my room. it read 11:45, so I opened the door and walked out. the hallways were completely empty. I walked toward Loki, keeping my head down in case someone were to walk out if their room.
After a few minutes of only hearing my shoes on the floor, I reached Loki. he was awake, sitting in a chair in the middle of the glass cage. Loki lifted his head to look at me.
"Well, here you are. Katrina. oh, how it's been quite sometime now. what would you say, around 75 years?" he asked me.
"Around there." I replied, slowing moving closer to the cage.
"Why did you come here, Katrina?" asked Loki.
"I want it off." I said, showing him the faded mark. the blue was completely gone, but the blue left a very pale white version of the flower.
He looked at it and then back to my face. "Of course, but I can't." He replied.
"You can't or you wouldn't?" I asked, beginning to get quite upset.
"Both. I don't know how and why should I?" he asked.
I looked away from him. I should have seen this coming. "well, I can certainly think of a reason or two. or even six." I replied looking back at him.
"Six? That's quite a powerful number, but not powerful enough." he replied.
"Goodnight." I replied, walking away from him.
