Ariel watched the endless miles of woods fly by her. The woods were peaceful and welcoming to Ariel, because it was the only peace of mind that she had been able to grasp in a while. No one would expect this, but Ariel did have a major problem in her life at the moment. People might find it silly, because Ariel seemed like she had the most amazing life, and that nothing ever went wrong for her. That however was only a mask. Ariel didn't want people to see who she really was behind that mask. She didn't want people to know about the person that taunted her endlessly. These two things caused her to be who she now is today. Paranoid and distrustful of those around her.

Ariel had every reason to experience those things as well. Another human being would feel these things as well, if they knew they were never safe. Never safe under any circumstances.
In the beginning Ariel tried so hard to convince herself things would get better, but she knew that it wouldn't end well. She knew that she wasn't the lucky character in a horror movie that some how magically got free. She knew this, no matter how much she constantly wished otherwise. Ariel knew that her time was running out, whoever has become obsessed with her is becoming impatient. Ariel knows that impatience and obsessed mentally ill people do not mix well.

Ariel shook her head and reprimanded herself for thinking of things that made her unhappy. Ariel is supposed to be thinking of things that made her joyful, not upset. She rested her head back on the window and sighed in displeasure. The drive to the cottage is taking far to long for her liking. Sleep slowly crept up and wrapped its comforting arms around her.

"Ariel, wake your ass up!"

She bolted awake and screeched at her friend in anger.

"Melanie, why won't you just be kind and wake me up properly for once in your life?"

Ariel pushed open the card door and grabbed her bags from the trunk. Ariel turned back to Melanie with a scowl on her face, once she had gathered all her things, and stomped off towards the cottage. Ariel was angry that Melanie didn't even bother to help, because the whole time she only stood in confusion by the car door muttering to herself about how she didn't know what kindness was.
