Unlike you, our classmate Isabel, who also happens to be my niece and very close friend, noticed my uneasiness. She headed to my house right after dismissal.
She was sprawled on the bed, while I was sitting on the floor. She looked at me with that 'what's up but i wont be pushy, you don't need to tell me right away' look. I gave her sad smile, but I knew that eventually, I'd have to tell her.
My niece, she used to be really happy for me you know. She even became really whimsical when you asked her where I was one time. I wasn't even close to her unusual giddiness. She was happy that I was happy.
But even if she was like that, she promised to kick your butt once you hurt me.
Do you remember when you gave me chocolates? Okay fine I asked for one, but you gave me the whole box. That surprised me you know, and it caused the girls in our homeroom to giggle. And Isabel? She told the whole campus. That's how happy she was for me. But I looked at you, you had this mask on. You were indifferent to what had just happened. It seemed to be nothing to you. I didn't understand.
Maybe that box of chocolates wasn't your ideal dessert, maybe you were going to throw it away, that's why you could give it so easily. Was I just someone who received your 'trash'?
Where was that guy who said I was pretty, huh?
Yep. Maybe I was just a 'pretty' trash bin. Yeah, maybe that was it.
(A/N: not really a fan of this chapter but i'll be editing and revising after anyways. just wanted to publish this piece already)
