PROLOGUE
It's the year 3017 and America still looks the same as it did in the year 2037 ... Minus a few changes to the advance in our technology and our government and how America now rules the whole entire world. All of this happened after the Great War in 2052, People like to read books about life before the Great War before hover cars and hover buses. Before 'Discovery day' ever existed, when people were free to make decisions themselves and not have to rely on the government for everything. America won the Great War by a large margin. We had captured every single country in existence (not including Antarctica but technically that's ours too). The Great War happened because these "specials" were popping up everywhere. The specials are people who settled down around the world in the year 2044. No one knows where they came from at all, They just popped out of no where. The specials were well... Special, they were supernatural to some people or magical to others. They had powers that no ordinary human ever had and nobody knew it. The specials kept it a secret but that secret came out once the specials started falling in love with humans and having children. The specials' children didn't know how to control their power, they were even too young to understand what it was. Unfortunately, neighbors started noticing weird things about these kids and contacted the army. Sooner or later the whole world was scared and we went at war with them. America took this opportunity to take over the world and they succeeded. Every country was destroyed and was going to have to be built from scratch again, Only good thing is that there were no more specials in existence...or so they thought. The specials came back and they hid, they taught their children to control their powers and when to use them (only in a serious emergency). Eventually in the year 2078 the government found out that there are still specials living amongst us humans and instead of starting another war they decided to start Discovery Day. It's one day out of the school year (different for every school) when the general (not a president but not a king) comes and goes to every class and tells a child to grow a daffodil the fastest way possible. If you're normal the general leaves you be and doesn't bother you again until next discovery day, if you're a special then he takes you to a magical place where the special kids go. They say there was one special who was the ruler of all specials but he never knew. They say when the specials were randomly put into our world they gave one man the ring and the ring was the key to opening another universe made for the specials. The "leader" wasn't supposed to know anything, and he didn't. During the Great War the leader was shot and killed and the ring was lost. If the ring ends up in the wrong hands its power can be used for evil instead of good.
