Manik was talking to his friends then nandini came from upstairs and greeted every one, none of his friends talked about yesterday and he was happy with that . Because if nandini remembered anything from yesterday, he didn't know how to explain  what happened between them.  He was kind of had panic attack this morning when he went to nandinis room to give pills but she wasn't in a position to think or talk about yesterday.  So he quickly came out breathing  happily.  When he heard nandinis voice he was tensed of her behavior infront of everyone.

But everything went quiet well but when everyone having a conversation his eyes never leave nandinis face and a faint smile was plastered on his face. Nandini was unaware of that.

Cabir saw Manik is looking at nandini and nudged Manik and said : stop ogling your  own wife.

Manik smiled and remembered she will regret what happened last night for sure and she will get angry at his behavior for doing such things when she is not in her senses and mostly  she will be going as fast as possible away from him and his smile faded on his face.

Cabir observed Maniks expression and asked : Manik what happened.

Manik smiled faintly and said nothing. Cabir knows something is wrong but didn't push Manik further.

After dinner all went to sleep leaving nandini  with him.  Before she ask anything he wents to his study and locked.  He waited for sometime still nandini get sleep because he was not ready to face her yet.  That she may expload  in front of everyone.

After mid night he went to room to see nandini is sleeping leaning on headboard and a book on her lap.

He sighed and went to make her sleep on bed properly . He very well know that she is waiting for him and slept.

Nandini stirred in sleep and murmured his name . Manik thought she wake up but she didn't move Again or said anything.  So he decided she was still sleeping. 

Manik saw nandini sleeping. Her thick eyelashes are pressed together and rested on her cheeks,  she also pouted a little in her sleep  and she is sleeping like a kid and he thought if he got a chance he will make sure that nandini sleeps well all day.

He smiled sadly and placed a kiss on nandinis forehead and went to couch to sleep.

But tonight sleep was very far to Maniks eyes.  Because he couldn't stop thinking about how his fate takes away his loved ones.  Then Manik thought he shouldn't love anyone in future and he thought he should stop loving nandini then she will be with him forever.

Manik doesn't know when tears started flowing from his eyes but he didn't care . He didn't know when he got sleep.

Next day morning Maniks eyes were red. When everyone asked he said he didn't get enough sleep. Cabir frowned at his behavior.  Nandini was sad of Maniks behavior.  He is behaving as she was not exist.  He didn't even  had a conversation with her since  yesterday  morning.  She didn't know why? 

Nandini remembered everything  which had happened between them yesterday before she take bath.  She had seen a few hickeys on her neck when she took a shower and remembered how she was throwing herself on him and their sweet moments and how Manik behaves as gentleman.  She was embarrassed of her behavior at how she throws herself at Manik.

Now she was so shy and embarrassed to face him.

She thought he would hate her or Maybe the feelings are mutual attraction.

Nandini though, Why does I have to behave like that.  Idiot you really crossed your line and face the consequences. He is avoiding you and not talking to you clearly.  Everything is your mistake. Why does everything has to be Soo complicated for me. That too particularly on my life partner.

Maniks pov

Manik and nandini came to airport and their friends went to their flight and Manik is driving to home.  Both nandini and Manik wants to talk but don't know how to start a conversation.

The silence is like ice between them.  But don't know where to start. 

Finally Manik cleared his throat to get nandinis attention and asked : Nandini

Nandini  : Hmm
looking down at her lap.

Manik : I think....

Nandini smiled and and asked : You think?

Manik  hesitated and asked : How about ice cream?

Nandinis jaw almost dropped at his sudden change of topic but said yes.

Manik smiled lightly at her expression.

They went  to ice cream parlor and ordered their favorite ice cream and eating silently.  Manik mostly looked at her lips while she is eating.  They ate in silence and went to home.  This time also the drive was silent but no awkwardness.

Manik opened the door and lazily went to living room.

Nandini was moving fast but Manik hold nandinis hand and stopped her abruptly and came back forcefully to Manik chest with her back.

Manik and nandini  feel the electricity.  Nandini breath quickens and Manik clenches his jaw to keep his emotions in check  and left her hand.

Manik cleared his throat and said.

Manik : Nandini I want to talk to you.

Nandini nods and went to living room and sat on the couch.

Manik observed her, how she is not  looking at him in the eyes.

Manik : Nandini that night.......

Manik was interrupted by nandini saying  : Manik let's forget about that night. Mostly  I don't remember anything and .......she started stammering and looking here and there.

Manik felt like a knife stabbed on his heart hearing how she said to forgot everything.  But he tried to keep his feelings neutral .

Nandini stopped stammering and looked at Manik.  His eyes shows pain but he said nothing.

Nandini didn't know why maniks eyes shows pain but she wants to be friendly to Manik like these few days.

Nandini :  Manik let's let's....  Hmm.... Be friends  she asked hesitatingly to Manik and stretched her hand to shake.

Manik was  actually confused at her behavior but glad that she wants to be at least friend with him.

Manik smiled a little and shook his hand.
