It was so much going on college , exams , and rent . I barely had time to myself I desperately needed time for myself I needed a vacation.

"Ariana ?" Nicki said snapping her fingers and waking me up from my thoughts.

I nodded and took a seat by the window sometimes when I got distracted I watch people pass some always on the phone , teens having fun or your typical business woman or man .

I wondered if they were happy , happiness is the key . But I'm not happy anymore I'm getting tired maybe mom was right but singing is something I wanted so badly that I ignored my mother .

I took my laptop out my bag and begin typing the essay but was quickly distracted when someone sat down . I looked up too see one of my classmates with tear stained along with dried mascara , why was she crying?

She had gorgeous blonde curly hair which she dye and a beautiful face , I envied her . She modeled she had the money and she was getting the fame so why was she here sitting in front of me ?

"Jadah what's wrong ?" I asked saving the essay and closing my laptop .

"Ariana this is an emergency I can't go back to my apartment my abusive boyfriend is after me can I please stay at your place ?" She begged I could tell by her raspy voice that she was yelling

"Sure we can go now " I replied quickly putting my laptop in my bag and grabbing my drink .

"My car is parked up the block " Jadah said we walked silently to her car , the car ride was silent mostly her sniffling and it was too see someone living the perfect life sad .

I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment I had a room where I worked on my music and a bedro-

I knew I only had cup noodle soup , popcorn and tea and I know Jadah didn't want any of that . I went too her car and headed too the supermarket

I woke up too puffy blonde hair in my face and I realized Jadah and I stayed up all night . Shit I had work in 1 hour i looked at the time I grabbed some clothes and headed too the shower , I brushed my and flat ironed if.

I slipped on a white croptop , black circular skirt , and my black wedge sneakers . I rushed too my room and left Jadah a note I couldn't be late for work at least not now , I went to the fridge and grabbed my sliced fruit and a bottle of water .

I grabbed my keys and metro card I worked at forever 21 at 42nd street I had a 8 hour shift and I had to be there at 6, hopefully I could be back at 2 I desperately needed a frap .
