10 Anniversary

Chapter 5

Draco's POV

We flooed into the palace excited to see old classmates, however I was very nervous. How will people view me since the war. About the school days since I haven't been in contact with many, but of course the Weasley's were very forgiving. After of course them seeing how forgiving Mione was of course. Weaselette still holds a grudge, Leo's can hold grudges until the end of time. She has threatened me twenty seven times and broke my arm twice. Both when Mione got pregnant without her consent.

I see George Weasley talking with Lee Jordan, and Blaise and Ginny herself talking with her mother. My mother was also among that group chatting so we headed over.

" Hello." I say.

" Mione! You're here!" Ginny shrieks.

She hugs Mione and I shake Blaise's hand.

" Hey mate." He says.

" Long time no see." I smirk.

He smiles and we look down at his children.

" Hello! You two are Blaise Jr and Margaret." I say.

I smile and poke Maggie's nose gently. She smiles and hugs her daddy's leg. She giggled putting her hand in her mouth.

" Maggie stop teething on your hand!" Ginny exclaimed.

" Mother isn't there a child's center for these little cuties?" I ask.

" Yes! It's right down here. Pick them up whenever. " she says.

She leads me and Blaise down there and we drop off our kids after giving some basics about them. We walk in and see the Potter's, the Weasley's and Weaslebee. Weaslebee has no family and he stood there like an idiot.

" Mione remember it's almost time for your speech as Minister." I say.

" Oh yes!"

Mione just took over as Kingsley had retired and Mione took over. She earned her rank up from getting House Elves tights to signing important documents about much more sophisticated matters.

I smile as she climbs the steps.

" Hello!" She says.

Eyes turn to her and I smile encouraging her.

" If I could I would ask everyone to take their respective seats so the ceremony may begin." She says.

She steps down and walks to her seat indeed.

" Kingsley has gratefully offered to do the speech instead, so he can properly thank me instead of me thanking myself." She explains.

" Smart. Like usual." I say.

She smiles and takes her seat. I was on her right, Weaslebee on her left, then Potter and his wife. Kingsley stepped up and tested his wand.

" Now we all know why we are here, today, is the tenth anniversary of when Mr. Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord Voldemort ending the war." He says. " I would like us to take a moment of silence to honor those who fought bravely and lost heir lives."

We all put our heads down and I immediately thought of Fred, Severus, Nigel, Remus, Tonks, and Crabbe. Sure Crabbe was an idiot almost times but he's dead, kinda his fault too but whatever.

We all stop when we hear his voice.

" I wish to properly thank, the Golden Trio for saving us all." He says.

People clap respectfully for Mione Potter and Weaslebee.

" And I want to thank all of you, for all you have lost, sacrificed, and done to contribute for the victory. " he says.

More clapping started up and Goyle seemed to be taking it all in as if he was the hero. Pitiful. No wonder he's single.

" And so, I invite Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley to talk for a moment." He says.

The trio looked flushed and stood up and reluctantly went onto stage. Mione whispered something I was certain was along the lines of how she wasn't supposed to talk much.

" Ok um.. first of all. I want to thank all of you for coming. Second, I want to explain that if it wasn't for Ronald, I would've drowned in a lake. If it wasn't for Mione here, I would've died the first day alone. Without these two, I would've been gone in August. Months before May. And I thank you guys." Harry says.

People clapped and the Harry hugged the others.

" Uh yea just to follow up on what uh Harry said, um the war was terrifying to er everyone. But uh we stood our ground, and prevailed. We all lost somebody in the war that has been lasting over twenty years or so. Harry lost his parents, Hermione had to erase her parents' memories to keep them safe, I-I-I lost a brother. But um... I thank you all for staying strong." Ronald said.

Everyone clapped and then Hermione began.

" The war as Ronald said was horrifying to everyone in someway. The Battle of Hogwarts will never be forgotten, many died there. Severus Snape, Fred Weasley, Remus And Tonks Lupin. Just to name a few. I thank you all for staying strong and for continuing to fight. Secondly everyone in this room contributed somehow. Without one person, we might of lost that Battle. So don't think if you could've done something, you all have done something amazing to be here today. Thank you for that. And last but certainly not least, I know everyone here can say just a huge thank you for everyone who has helped set up this amazing reunion. It's fantastic, I couldn't have it any other way. " Hermione says.

She got the biggest round of applause and a few whistles from me mostly. Hey returned to their seats beside me and Potter's wife. The food was served by waiters and House Elves, who were paid thanks to Hermione. We began eating the food when I hear Weaslebee talking to Hermione.

" So.. Mione, what're you doing on Friday?"
