"If you look like this what does the other guy look like.....?" Nacole asked giving Rich a hug at the door. He had just come from his second work out of the day.

"He looks worse I promise." Rich laughed around his bruised lip. Wrapping his arms around her waist she got on her tip toes and gave him as gentle of a kiss as she could without hurting him. A big part of her wanted to ask him where he had been all week but instead she choose to ignore it.

"Have you put something on that eye yet?" she asked dragging him in to the living room and sitting on the couch.

"No, because I like when you take care of me." He smiled like a kid.

"Take care of you, really?" She said as she thought how ironic it was that he could want a woman that he ignored to nurse his wounds.

As she got up and went to get the ice packs from the kitchen it came to her that she never questioned loving Rich; she had been his homie, lover and friend for years now. Rich was the Middle Weight Champion of the world and she was the female voice of one of America's favorite hip-hop morning show. In addition to that she was also the mother of Rich's two seven year old daughters.

Walking into the living room she handed Rich the ice and sat down beside him.

"Where are the girls; I don't hear them, usually they trample me at the door?" Rich asked.

"Being that today is Tuesday, they are at dance practice."

"I forgot that's today." Rich said shifting his sore body to lay his head in her lap so she could ice his face.

"You know I love it when you take care of me like this." Rich mumbled looking up at her.

"You know you could enjoy it more often if you would move in with us" she told him matter-of-factly.

"Here you go again with that."

"Damn right here I go again, wanting my so called man, the father of my children to live with me." She raised her voice again looking at him as he sat up out of her lap.

"We discussed this before. We tried and it didn't work."

"And I still don't get it; explain it one more time because it would have worked if you had of brought your ass home at night."

"My publicist doesn't feel like fans would be receptive to the whole girlfriend, kid's, family thing at this point in my career."

"So you think it's better to deny our children?"

"Don't bring the girls into this."

"How can I not; they are a major part Rich." She yelled at him, whipping the tears off her face.

"Shh, shhh, stop doing all that crying; shit man come here." Rich said pulling her into his lap kissing her forehead. He didn't know why he couldn't be faithful to Cole.

Nacole was a pecan-colored, plus sized diva. At 5'4" she had an hour glass frame and two perfectly placed dimples. She choose to keep her hair in a short Nia Long styled haircut and she had the most perfect heart shaped lips.

Sitting there looking at him she wondered why she even bothered to get mad or show any emotion. Why did she even try to save something that was unsavable? "How long are you staying tonight?" She asked after minutes of them sitting in silence.

"Probably just until the girls get here. Gina has reservations for us at some restaurant." He answered avoiding eye contact, he knew that Gina was a sore spot for Nacole especially after the conversation they just had.

Gina was Riches "arm candy" his "girlfriend" in regards to newspapers, fights and publicity. She was a half Colombian-half African American bombshell. Nacole couldn't even lie and say that Rich with his winning smile chiseled body and 6'0 height didn't look good with her. The more fame he gained his publicist and managers began to insist the he and Nacole either become public or began to date other people for the media. Though Nacole was firm that she wasn't down with the whole fiasco; Riches manager Coco began to weave him a romance meant for the blogs; not that over the years Rich had been Mr. Faithful watching it on T.V. hurt worst.

"So what time you coming back so I won't set the alarm and I can wait up" she said rubbing his lips with her thumb.

"Umm I'm gone just stay at my crib tonight " Rich replied looking away from her and shifting her out of his lap.

He sat up slightly nervous; one thing Rich knew about Nacole was that she could blow up and he didn't like to be the cause.

"What you mean you're just going to go home, since when do you just go home after a date with Gina."

"Nacole, I'm training; it's going to be late." Rich attempted to explain away and hide the fact that he wanted to spend the night with Gina.

"That's another thing, since when do you go on dates when you're training? You usually only make time for the girls." Nacole jumped off the couch and stood directly in front of him.

She couldn't help but think; the shit sounded suspicious.

"Cole baby, it's not that serious, it's just with this fight being so big, Gina and Coco thought this would be a great promotional move."

Nacole was just about to let him have it when they heard the carpool pull into the yard.

"We will talk about this" She spoke ending the conversation.
