Prologue
"I can't believe it. Why would you do this?" I said with tears rolling down my face.
"As if I'm the bad guy? Your the one sleeping around with your tsisters boyfriend."
"Your the one killing innocent people!"
"I'm a monster Kate! Help me change?"
"You expect me to help you change? what am I supposed to do? Sit here taunting you all day? I'm scared of you jake. I don't want to get hurt. I don't want you to hurt my sister! stay away from me!"
Jake looked into my eyes, a way he never had before. "Don't you dare tell your sister or your going to be my next kill, got that?"
I drove back home out of fear. I really dug myself into the hole. Now how do I get out?
Chapter 1 The start
I woke up and the first thing that came to my mind was Kenzie, my best friend laying dead on the cold hard floor. How could I keep this from anybody? I couldn't tell any of my other friends, or Emily my twin. Or I would be in where Kenzie was.
I got dressed and ready and walked down stairs. Emily was standing at the fridge.
"Hi emily..." I said nervously.
She ignored me and continues to make her breakfast. Soon the rest of the family joins us in the kitchen. Mom, Dad, and Ben out little brother.
Dad rushed out the door fast as usual and the rest of us sat.
"So Kate, you got laid last night?" said Emily
I snapped. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Well you snuck in really late last night. And this act your playing. it's kind of obvious."
"Fuck you." and then I left.
I grabbed my backpack and got into my car. I drove until I found a coffee shop.
As I walked in I caught sight of a girl with blonde wavy hair just like Kenzie's. "Kenzie!" I called out. but the girl kept walking. I ran towards her and jumped to give her a hug. I fell to the ground. The girl was gone.
Had my mind been playing tricks on me? Or had that been Kenzie's ghost? would I ever know?
I decided to just live my life how I usually did. I went to school. When I arrived I saw police at our school. I asked principle Howard what was going on and he said Kenzie Donald was missing.
Again the flashback replayed in my mind. I knew what happened to her and so did Jake. Nobody else could know. Not ever.
It's a short chapter but soon chapter 2 will be up :)
