"What do you mean a binder?"
"You know like a, forget I said anything I just wanna go, can we do this another time please." The words barely escaped my mouth.
David paused for a long time. He sighed, "Max I think I know what you're talking about."
I heard him talking to Gwen, and then he walked out. He sat down and sat there for a while before he asked "Max... are you... This is gonna sound so stupid if you're not but are you trans?"
I nodded.
"Are you using bandages or duct tape to bind?"
I hesitated and nodded again.
"Go in the bathroom and take it off and come back out."
He was the only one here aside from Gwen, who obviously also knew so I just did it. Again it hurt like hell coming off but at least it was and hopefully for good this time.
I sat down across from David again.
"We found a binder in the woods last night while looking for you, it was destroyed."
"What do you mean destroyed?" I asked, like it wasn't obvious."
"It was ripped, and it had things written and drawn on it, stuff I'd rather not say."
My eyes started to well up with tears again.
"Max, don't-" he stopped himself. I think he knew there was nothing he could say to make me stop crying. He walked around the table and put his arm around me. "It's ok Max, I'll find out who they are."
"It's not that it's just memories." It was almost inaudible but I felt David flinch, so he must have understood.
This chapter was not originally going to end here but you guys are so supportive and you deserve an update.
