Jamie went running inside the house as soon as i he open the door , "Jamie be careful! Can't you just walk or something, geez!" I said to my 7 yr old son. He is so hyper, i need to cut on his sugar.
As i enter the living room i saw Jamie sprawled on the sofa playing with his tablet . Dad is it true that tita Nadine is your classmate? " Jamie asked "Yes, we we're classmates way back in high school".
"Has she always been pretty? " my son giggles then cover his face with the tablet.
" Yes , she has always been pretty. Why are you asking? Do you have a crush on her? "
I tease, Jamie all but turn red." Daaaad! " he whined "Haha i was just kidding". Then i remember Nadine's smiling face as she waved us goodbye, i smile to myself. I dont recall her being that bubbly way back in high school, she use to be so timid and shy.
I dont even remember us talking then. My smile widens without me knowing it until Jamie ask me "why you smilin dad?" . "Nothing Jamie, i just remember something funny".
I started walking to go to the.kitchen to prepare our lunch when suddenly I realized i haven't asked her anything relevant while we we're talking , i just stood there listening to her and just answering if has question, laughing when she said something funny or nod when i agree with what she said, geez what's wrong with me, have i totally lost my social skills . Maybe she thought i havent change , still the quiet and shy James from high school . I'll do better next time i see her , she might think I'm anti social *facepalm*. I realized i wanna be friends with her.

Today is the day.Jamie and his group are presenting their piece. As we enter the school premises i saw my son's group mates and their parents waiting for the school bus that will bring us the event venue. Jamie has gone up running when he saw his classmates. " Jamie will you stop running, you might hurt yourself even before the presentation and then what?" Jamie just smiled sheepishly and put his puppy dog eyes. "sorry dad!" He shouted but resume running. I just shakes my head and started walking toward the group of parents. This is going to be a long day.
