I ran as fast as i could into a long, deep, dark forest. I could feel my tears ran down my cheeks. It was not for no reason. My FAKE parents had lied to me. They had lied to me my entire life. I always thought they were my parents, but I'm just a foster child!
I ran without even thinking of where I ran. I felt I became increasingly more tired. I was so tired that I had to take a break. I fielded by a large, thick tree and slid down. I lay with my head leaning against my knees. Abruptly I woke up when I heard twigs snapped not far from me.
My head snapped up, and there stood a boy. I could see that it was a boy because his silhouette had broad shoulders and a tall frame. "Hi," He leaned down beside me. "What's wrong?" I tried to tell him, but the only thing that came out was hiccups.
I took a deep breath in and started to explain from the beginning. "Today... I was at school as normal, yo-you know? A-and when I came h-home, my parent... George and Maisy was arguing about something. I was on my way into the kitchen, when I heard they say stuff like 'We need to tell her' and 'she isn't ready'. I didn't understand what they were talking about so I started to listen.
They talked a lot about why they should tell it to her, or m-me. Then Maisy shouted:... "We need," My words stopped and the hiccups came again. He slung his arm around my shoulder and tried to calm me. After a while I was calmed enough to tell him. "She said: We need to tell her that she's adopted!"
I buried my face in my knees again and my heart felt like ruins. The boy hugged me and kept me close to his chest. "Shh... It's gonna be okay. Just look me in the eyes and take a breath," I looked up and saw the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. The brown eyes looked like a brown bear. Wild and soft at the same time. His hair was black like coal. My body felt fully relaxed just by looking at him. He looked deeply into my eyes and a little smile played on his lips.
Suddenly a bird flew past us and we broke apart. "Emmm... So...," I stammered awkwardly. "What's your name, Lovely?" Electricity went trough my body when he called me lovely. "I-I'm Paz. Who are you?" I could barely talk because of his confidence.
"I'm River", he said. I actually blushed of his gorgeous name. His name flew around in my mind. "River..." I said without even thinking. I blushed even more. He giggled. He probably knew he was hot already.. "So... Paz", he said with the cutest voice I'd ever heard. I nodded because I could barely talk. And if I'd try to say something, it would just come out like... I don't even know...
"It's a very beautiful name", River said while he looked me deep in the eyes and smiled a little. "Almost as beautiful as you are", he said with a calm and confident voice. I melted. "Thanks... Thank you!... I mean... Your's too", he interrupted me with a: "Shh." He put his soft finger in front of my mouth. He slowly leaned towards me as he moved his finger from my mouth to my chin and came closer to me.
His eyes looked straight into mine. It was a bit dark outside, but I could still look straight through his wild eyes. They were even more perfect close up. But he closed his eyes right before... A bird flew past us again and we broke apart.. AGAIN!! "Gosh, I hate those birds!.." he said. I giggled and we both blushed awkwardly. I finished the sentence I was gonna say: "What I meant was... River is also a beautiful name", I said like nothing really happened.
"So.. what are you doing out here?" I asked. River stood up. "I live here", he said and stretched his arms out. "Here?" I asked. River looked up at the tree I leaned on. I did the same and saw a gigantic tree house. "Wooow.." I gaped. "Want to join in?" I nodded and he held out his hand for me to grab it. I did and we walked on the other side of the tree to find a ladder made by rope and sticks.
"I'll help you up. It's not as scary as it looks", He walked closer to the ladder and gestured me to come and climb it. I took a hold on a stick and lifted my right foot to keep climbing up the ladder. I came up to the top and looked around. The tree house was beautiful with small candles that smelled like cinnamon all over the place. In a corner it was a bed that looked homemade. The mattress was lying on the floor with a big blanket covered in clothes. In another corner it was a small sofa and a table with more candles on it. This place was beyond beautiful, even with the mess.
I jumped when I felt a hand on my waist. I looked up in River's brown eyes. He chuckled of my reaction to his touch. "It's beautiful here", was the only that came out of my mouth. He chuckled and let go of me. He walked over to the sofa and sat down. He waved at me to come over, and like a invisible power pushed me towards him, I followed after his muscular body. He tapped the spot beside him and I sat down. "How old are you?" His deep, but cute, husky voice said in my ear. It went chills down my spine and a smile appeared on my lips.
"I'm 15", his lips gave me the biggest smile in the history and my feet felt like jelly. "I'm 17. You said you went to school. Wich one?" My eyes went to our hands. "The college not long from here", He nodded and I felt his hand brush over mine. I looked up at his face, then to my knees.
My eyes felt like they would close anytime. The next thing I know is that I'm asleep.

I wake up by the sound of barking from dogs and shouting. I didn't remember where I was at first, but then I remembered that I was in River's tree house. I saw River standing by the window behind the sofa. "What's happening?" I said sleepy and rubbed my eyes. River didn't awnser, so I went over to the window. "Cops?!" I shouted. "Shh!" River said clearly. I tried to see who the cops were talking to. It was a lady. I could see that. But it was too dark to see who the lady with blonde, long curly hair was.
I went to the exit of the tree house and was about to leave when River stopped me. "What are you doing?!" he asked. "I have to find out who the lady is", I said. "Wait! It can be dangerous", River said and took my hand so that I could not leave. "Come with me", I said. We heard barking dogs came closer and closer. "I will not let you go out there alone", he said, making me feel like his little sister. But even that was cute for him to be.
I drew him out and behind a bush closer to the cops. And then I could see her. It was Maisy! "Maisy..." I whispered. "I'm sorry, but I have to leave!" I said. River took my hand again. "Will I see you again?" River asked and made big puppy eyes which almost made me cry for leaving him like this. "I promise River..." I anwered and stroked his cheek. He hugged me tight and let go of me. I ran as fast as I could further and further away from the tree house. Away from the wonderful forest. Away from River...
