Do you ever look out your window at night, peering through the darkness at the house across the street? Do you ever feel that someone is watching you, as you stare at their face concealed in shadow? It's a creepy sensation, feeling as if our windows are like mirrors, as if another pair of eyes meet ours.
I suppose it'd be even scarier if you actually did see something staring back.
I want you to do an experiment. Tonight, go to your window and look at the house down the street. After a minute or so of staring, come back, sit down, and report how you felt.
