Valeryia's POV
I woke up to the sound of the construction playing an unwanted tune outside my bedroom window. My bags hid in the corner of my room, out of sight. I roll out of my soft, plush bed and dial Lolita.

"Hey suga." Lolita's thick Russian accent fills my ears.
The sound of her soft music hums in the background.
"Hey." My voice is raspy from just waking up.
"You ready to go? Because I'll be there in about 10 minutes."
My eyes go wide as I am no where near ready to leave.
"Oh shït! Bye." I yell.
"Suka!" she curses as I hang up.
I run over to my vanity, and apply a full face of makeup. I find my black bodycon leather skirt, a black singlet and my soft pink trench coat. I brush my soft brown hair into a ponytail and grab my black heel boots. I walk over to my desk and slide my hand along the bottom, I pull off the bottom piece and grab a wad of cash. I grab my bags and head to the door, checking if my parents were still absent from the house; smiling slightly when I found they were. I quickly make my way down the stairs, dragging my heavy suitcases along with me, once I reach the bottom I throw my bags down and find the closest notepad.
Dear mom and dad,
I am going away for a little while with Lolita.
You might be asking yourselves why? Well, I can't completely answer
that myself but all I know is that I'm not happy and I know I won't be any
happier staying here. I am sorry to do this to you and
I love you both so much but I have to do this
for myself.Love Valeryia
I neatly fold the paper and sign "Mom & Dad." A loud car honk echoes around the house indicating that Lolita is here. I roll my bags to my front door and turn toward my house. I take one last look around, and one last smell of my home of 17 years. A smile etches on my lips as I know that only good can come of this trip. I scurry outside and see my 16 year old best friend leaning against her car with a cigarette resting between her fingers, she takes a drag and blows out a thick cloud of smoke. Her dark doe eyes meet my grey ones.
"Finally, I thought you would never leave that house," she rolls her eyes and lets out a light chuckle.
She opens the boot of her black Chevy impala.
"Jesus, how long are you planning on living in your car!"
Her boot was filled with her belongings, by the looks of it, she was never planning on going home. I shove my thick bags in, barely fitting them. We both slide onto her thick leather seats, the engine roars to life as Lolita starts the old piece of crap. As she speeds off I watch my house become smaller and smaller until it's nonexistent. I'm expecting my heart to shatter, and tears to stream down my face but nothing happens. Instead, I am overwhelmed with excitement - the excitement of not knowing what will happen in these weeks to come.
