bill, richie, and stan were over at bill's house on a friday night. it didn't take much convincing from bill to his folks to let them stay the night. hell, it barely took any at all. bill could probably have a party, all loud and wild and all, and his parents wouldn't blink an eye.

the trio decided to camp out in the living room, because bill had a twin and stan wasn't fond of sleeping in other people's beds. so they slept in the living room, even building a little canopy out of sheets to set the mood (of course, with a hole for air in the top for stan). richie gets even goofier past midnight, if you can believe it, and when the clock struck three he decided that he was bored. naturally, like any cliche, he suggested the group play a classic game of truth or dare. and declared that anyone who said no was a pussy. stan and bill agreed, albeit hesitantly.

the first person richie came out to was stan. they were the best of friends. richie wouldn't have it any other way; stan was so supportive of richie despite his orthodox background, telling him that he was swell, and liking boys made him even sweller.

stan spoke after the boys sat in a circle formation, "richie, truth or dare?"
richie smiled, "dare."
stan also smiled, thinking. he knew that richie had a huge infatuation with bill and he wanted nothing more than for them to be together. so of course, he said, "i dare you to kiss the hottest guy here." and smiled wide, waiting for his best friends to finally make moves.

he was beyond surprised when richie kissed him. their mouths moved together sweetly, and stan couldn't believe what was happening. he was kissing his best friend? he was kissing his best friend. something wasn't right about it, but at the same time everything was right about it.

richie pulled away and stan stared at him.
"i thought you were gonna kiss bill."
richie giggled, "you know stanny, bill is hot, but you're fucking beautiful."
stan blushed. "that wasn't the dare."
the three laughed and continued with their game, stan sneaking glances at richie often.

everything about him is so right.
