I was picking my daughter up from her fathers house. I still had love for Zoe's father. There's no doubt about us having a deep love connection.

"Mommy??!?" Zoe yelled excitedly as I hugged her.
"Hi baby girl! How are you?" I said as I lifted her up and put her on my hip.
"I've been good mommy. I missed you." She said as I noticed that Chadwick was in the front doorway.
" I missed you too. Did you have fun with daddy?" I asked.
"Yeah we made cookies, we watched movies, we went to the park, we got ice cream and I helped daddy pick out a gift for you." She replied.
My eyes met Chadwick's, he shifted his body a little bit and I chuckled because I knew Zoe wasn't supposed to tell me that.
"Oh really, ok then... I wonder exactly what it is?" I questioned as I put Zoe down.
"That my dear you won't be able to find out until I give it to you." Chadwick said as we were now face to face.
" ok I'm cool with that." I said with a smirk.
We hugged each other and he kissed my forehead. I didn't want to leave his embrace.
"How are you doing?" He asked as we had to let go of each other.
I sighed. I was pouting on the inside but I had to keep it straight face on the outside.
"I'm good. You?" I said as he smiled at me.
"I'm great now that you're here." He said as I blushed and turned my head the other direction.
"That's a good thing? What about Eva?" I asked him.
Eva is Chadwick's new girlfriend. Eva dislikes me because of my connection with Chadwick but I don't care. I'm not to fond of Eva either because of how she treats Zoe.
"Eva.... and ..... I aren't together anymore." He said as he body language changed.
"I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better, if you need me I'm here." I said as I gently rubbed his arms.
He gently grabbed my hands and pulled me towards him. Our eyes connected and I felt like I was in a trance.
He leaned in and kissed me. I froze but I kissed him back.
"Thanks." He said as he let go of my lips.
"Welcome." I whispered softly.
After a few minutes of talking with Chadwick, Zoe and I left and went home. I was smiling hard the whole ride home.
