A/N: SELF HARM AHEAD
As I sat in the White Wyrm, I could hear people all-around me. Laughing, drinking playing pool. I had a glass of water in front of me.
"Hey Jughead." A girl's voice said sweetly. Then Toni Topaz slid down the banister of the stairs and sat on the bar. "Let's talk about that girlfriend of yours." Her light pink hair stood out against the dark interior of the bar.
"Betty?" I asked. She nodded.
"You're a serpent now Jughead!" She said simply. "You need a girl who's tough. Betty, she's as soft as they come."
"What are you implying?" I asked her.
"Dump her!" She said, quite frustrated.
"What?" I said in horror.
"Look around Jughead!" She said as she jumped off the bar. "There are plenty of girls who would make the cut!" She began to point out girls.
"I love Betty." I stated. She sighed and rolled her eyes.
"You need to dump her, okay? She's not worthy enough." She said finally.
"Is that what you think Juggie?" A familiar voice said behind me. I turned to reveal Betty. She had tears in her eyes. I opened my mouth to speak, but Toni responded before I could.
"Yeah." She said, and was now drinking a beer.
"Okay." Betty whispered, and ran out of the bar. I tried to run after her, but the serpents were blocking my path, telling me I needed to 'Celebrate'. I finally made it the door, then Tall Boy stopped me.
"Move!" I instructed, but he handed me a camera.
"I recorded you trying to escape. Just in case your girl doesn't believe you." He said. I took it and ran. All the way to Betty's house. I flung open the door and heard a light sobbing coming from upstairs. I ran upstairs and checked the bathroom. No Betty. Then I checked her room. She was lying in a heap on the floor, next to blood. I picked her up, and held her in my arms. I noticed a couple of cuts on her wrist.
"Why are you here?" She sobbed. "Why don't you just leave me be. I'm not worthy enough."
"I don't care what they think, to me, you are perfect." I whispered.
