Steven is a hard worker and he knows it. Years of his life were spent looking for a star, someone with real talent, someone who had it in their fucking bones. And he did, he found someone who had it. James Rutherford had a gift, and his life suddenly became Steven's life. When Steven discovered him and became his manager it seemed as if Steven had signed his very own soul away. But it paid off, James was on his way to becoming a rock star, his music was actually good; everyone loved him.
At least until he broke Katya fucking Reyes' heart. Katya was a pop sensation at just twenty years old. She was like Taylor Swift minus the feuds, so, basically perfect. Steven almost had it all, and Helena Astaire's pussy fucked it all up for him. So now Steven's job was damage control. But first, he needed to give James a rude fucking awakening.

"Get the fuck up." Steven growled as he pulled the blanket off of James.
"Go away." James groaned
"Not a chance. You've been avoiding my calls all morning, now you need to get up and face the music."
"Look, what's done is done, get the fuck over it." James' deep voice rang out. He sat up and swung his legs over the bed, dressed in nothing but boxers. He buried his head in his hands, wishing he could stay in bed for the next five years.
"Have you talked to your whore?" Steven asked cynically.
"Don't call her that. And, no. She hasn't answered my calls." James snapped back. The last thing he wanted to hear was anything bad being said about Helena. She didn't deserve any of the shit that was being thrown at her.
"Well her manager contacted me. I told her that I wanted to set up a meeting between all of us. So pack your stuff. We're going to L.A." Steven demanded before walking out of the room.

During the flight James couldn't quiet the thoughts in his head. On the way to the airport Steven had kept asking him if it had been worth it. Of course he had said some crude things in between. James, someone who had famous anger issues, decided to punch him while they were in the car. But now James had a chance to think about his question. Surely at some point others will ask him the same question. The truth was that when he and Katya started dating, he thought that he would never date another girl. She became his whole world, and he became hers. It was the first time he had ever fallen in love, and he naively believed that it would be the only time. But then he met Helena and she crashed into his life, destroying everything he thought he knew. Everything about her consumed him, taking over his every thought. And when news leaked of their affair, James didn't call his girlfriend to see if she was okay, he called Helena. So the answer to Steven's question was yes. Helena was worth it, she was worth everything. He would gladly go to war for her.
So as he sat on his private plane to L.A, he swore that he would do everything possible to make sure that she suffers as little as possible as they go through this together.

By the time Brenda had gotten to Helena's apartment, Jules had already filled her in. Now they were waiting for James and his manager to meet them. They all agreed that it was best for Helena to not leave her apartment for the time being, so they all decided it was best to meet there. Jules and Brenda could both tell that Helena was extremely nervous. She had been stress baking all morning, every surface of every counter in the kitchen was covered in trays of cupcakes. Jules had tried to convince her to stop baking and start getting ready, but failed. That's what Steven and James arrived to, Helen in nothing but sleeping shorts and a tank top, not even with a bra on, stirring cupcake batter furiously. Before anyone could get a word out James rushed over to her, pulling the cooking utensils from her hands before cupping her face in his hands. Apologies immediately started pouring from her mouth.
