"SURPRISE!!"
That indeed it was....Morgan's 8 month anniversary for being born.
Kehlani picked up the sleeping baby and hugged her hard to the point where she couldn't breathe, then let her go. "Happy anniversary babygirl!" She squealed making Morgan frown in confusion.
Kehlani chuckled at the baby's expression cause in her mind, she only remembers coming out the womb 8 months ago and certainly today was not her birthday.
Robyn brought out the ice cream and sat next to them on the couch. When Morgan finally woke with open eyes, her chubby hands reached forward to grab the ice cream. Robyn scooped some up and fed it to her.
"Is that safe?" Kehlani asked as Morgan sucked on the ice cream.
Robyn shrugged. "My mama fed me ice cream at 7 months."
"She's 8."
"Exactly." Robyn nodded her head.
Kehlani just shrugged her shoulders and slumped back into the couch, eventually Morgan climbed over to sit on Robyn's lap because she had the ice cream and well...it was her food for dinner.
They spent the day chilling inside the house, having fun and watching Korean highschool drama on Netflix. Robyn even made her special Bajan food so Morgan could try the sweet rice.
Hours had passed and it was going on 7. Robyn had gotten up and left her by Kehlani. "Oh shit! We're gonna need to get dressed so we could go."
Kehlani nodded her head and stood up, they maneuvered their way up the stairs and into the master bedroom. Kehlani turned on the shower and began stripping. She stood under the water to get her hair wet before picking up the bottle of shampoo and squirting some in her hand. She washed and conditioned her hair then rensed it when she heard...
"Open up!"
Kehlani opened up the shower door and Robyn gave her a naked and very dirty Morgan. Kehlani 'eww', but took her anyway. She put Morgan's but under the warm water so she could get used to the feeling.
Then she held Morgan closely to her chest and the baby, being smart, leaned her head back to get her hair wet. Kehlani squeezed her baby Smootie Pie shampoo into her free hand and began messaging her scalp. Morgan smiled slightly.
In the room over, Robyn was moving around the room, picking out clothes for her and Kehlani and Morgan so they could get ready and dressed to leave for Rihanna's award show. She sat the outfits nice and neatly on the bed then went to the closet to search for shoes when she spotted the dress.
Kehlani got done messaging Morgan's scalp with her Smootie Pie conditioner before placing Morgan under the water again. She grabbed her special towel and soap so she could wash the poop off her but and legs. Kehlani scrunched her face up in disgust. It would have been worse if they were in the tub.
Kehlani got out and wrapped a towel around Morgan before doing the same to herself. Robyn walked in and smiled.
"Look who's all cleaned up and not full of shit!" She said. Morgan giggled and clapped her chubby hands against Kehlani's wet shoulders. Robyn got in the shower and Kehlani began brushing her teeth while Morgan still in her arms. She washed her face and left out with the baby.
