A\N: I'm so sorry this is so long.

When I get back to my dorm the familiar silence haunts me. When I first got my dorm and was told I would be by myself for a long time I loved it, I welcomed the quiet. But as time went on and a year or two passed it began to taunt me, made me feel lonely. I mean I would consider myself alone, I have maybe two friends. And I haven't really hung out with those friends yet. Really late at night the silence becomes unbearable and I start to hear like a static, and it drives me crazy. I really think I need a roommate, maybe I could see the dean about it. I sit down on my bed and start on my homework, as soon as I'm down with that I'll write some more of my story.

I wake up the next day getting a whopping 2 hours of sleep, that's a new record. I start collecting my things for my next class, it is Criminology. UGgghhhhghghghghUwa. I pick out a simple outfit with my favorite beanie...so I don't have to actually style my hair. As I'm walking to class it hits me, today is the party. Today is the party! A smile spreads across my face as my day just got a little better.

After criminology, I had my politics history class, and finally, I was done. I arrive at my dorm and throw my backpack down on the ground

"Ha HA, I'm done bitches!!! IT's FrIdAy!!" I call out into my open room. Yep. I've gone crazy. I fall onto my bed and stretch. I look at the alarm clock on my desk and the time reads 4 o'clock. Now I just have to play the waiting game for Alex to show up. I guess I could work on my story until 9. I start working on it for hours but then I hit writer's block and decide to take a small break, I connect my phone to my speaker and play my music on shuffle. I sing along to a few songs, even one from Lin-Manuel Miranda (it's a play about our founding father) I look outside and noticed it's gotten dark, I was about to check the time but a song from my old rock days came on and I just had to sing along, "NIce wOrk you dId yoU're goNnA go fAr kidddd...WITH A THOUSAND LIES AND A GOOD DISGUISE!!" I belt out as I hear a faint knock on the door. Ah shit. Fuuuuuu... I quickly turn off the music and walk to the door fearing that it might be Alexander. As I slowly open the door I see Alex's face and I just cringe at myself.

"Umm hi?" I hear Alex say trying to hold back a laugh

"Oh my god I'm so sorry you had to hear me singing, I lost track of time. Holy shit. Oh my god how embarrassing, oh shit I'm still not dressed. Oh yay, I wanted to ask what you wear to these type of things. Do I dress casual or like a fancy casual..." I ramble on not really knowing what I'm saying

"Hey it's okay, you're not that bad at singing. Plus it was a good song and that was funny as fuck. And just wear anything you want, what do you usually wear?" Alex asked smiling up at me. His face makes me blush but then I process his question, great he's gonna think I'm a loser and a buzzkill.

"Well... I haven't actually gone to a party before." I reply rubbing the back of my neck out of nervousness.

"Wait really? Hey, it's okay, if it wasn't for the lucky chance that I met my three party animal friends I wouldn't have gone to any parties either." Alex replied making me feel better.

"Ahh please come in I'm so sorry. So just a casual shirt?" I ask as I invite Alex inside my dorm. I see him look around at the semi-messy room as he takes a set on one of the couches the school provides in the dorms. HIs eyes stop as he sees that one of the beds is unoccupied and empty.

"Yea casually is perfect, are you the only one who lives in here?" He asked looking at me as I dig through my dresser trying to find a shirt that I like.
