A frown appeared on her face as she stared at his photograph in one of the tabloid articles. He along with her elder brother, Swayam was surrounded by British models. She didn't like the picture at all. The sight of him being surrounded by beautiful women didn't settle down with her.
She has never voiced out but she was as possessive about him as he was about her. She doesn't like any woman around him but doesn't have guts to admit it to him. He's her promised groom. Reyaansh Singhania. The heir of Singhania empire.
He is one of the most powerful people in the country and he's hers. The latter made her smile. Though she's never admitted to anyone, she loves him already. But she's too shy to express, and his over possessive and strict nature doesn't help her either. When he's around, either she runs away or doesn't even look at his direction.
"What am I going to do with you?" Taani mumbled, staring down at the screen of her tablet. Her frown returned back seeing his picture. He was smiling at the camera and models were surrounding him and her brother.
Don't you trust him? A voice in the back of her head spoke.
I do. And she does. She trusts him and also knows he'll never do anything to break the trust she's in him. He'll always remain faithful to her. She trusts him but doesn't trust the women around him.
Taani was snapped out of her trance when her cell phone ringed. She stretched her hand and grabbed her cell phone off the side table.
Sanjana calling...
It was her only friend's call. She swiped her thumb across the cell phone screen and picked up the call.
"Hey, Sanju." Taani chirped.
"Hey, babes. Did you talked to your father about the goa trip we planned?" She heard Sanjana's voice from the other side of the call.
"Papa denied," Taani replied with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"What? But why?"
"Due to security reasons," Taani answered her. Unlike other normal girls, she's restrictions over things she does. Being the only daughter of Shekhawat family and as a would-be daughter-in-law of the Singhania family, she has rules to follow. She's people who take decisions on her behalf.
"Why don't you ask your fiance? Reyaansh?" Sanjana suggested.
"He's in London. When he comes back, I'll ask him." Taani spoke onto the phone softly. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought of him coming back home. To her.
"When is he coming back?"
"Tonight." She answered with a dreamy sigh. She couldn't wait to meet him. It's been over a month she's seen him in person and she's dying to have a glimpse of him. Admire him from afar. Like always.
"Alright. Talk to him and then tell me what he says." Sanjana said to her.
"I'll tell you," Taani replied. She ended the call and fell back on the bed on her back. She crossed her hands over her chest and closed her eyes. A small smile touched her cheeks as his handsome face appeared before her. She couldn't wait to meet him. If it was in her hands, she'd have never allowed him to go away from his eyes.
"A few more hours," Taani told herself. A big part of her wanted to rush and reach him to embrace him in her arms, but she controlled herself. Like every other time.
***
Taani descended the stairs and walked into the family room where she found her parents engrossed in some deep conversations. She went and took a seat on the sofa across her parents. When they become aware of her presence, both of them looked up and smiled at her.
