Sitting on the arm chair outside the principle's office, Ethan tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for whatever the hell was taking so long.
It was not a complete let down, though, because there was a cute girl sitting in the chair directly in front of him, and he was almost certain he didn't recognize her.
He wouldn't have missed those boobs.
Ethan loved fresh meat. Especially since she was eyeing him with a sultry expression, leaning over slightly so that her entire cleavage was exposed through her low neckline. Turning on player mode, he shot her a sly smirk, and she giggled in response.
"Ms. Anniston, please, come in." The principle, Mrs. Longwood, suddenly appeared at the door, looking between the two of them distastefully.
The girl stood abruptly, pulling her shirt up to her collarbone. He stifled a chuckle. Pathetic.
"Sit tight, Mr, Gray. You're next," Mrs. Longwood threatened almost menacingly. He gave her retreating figure a mock salute.
The girl giggled once again and made her way to the office, not before dropping a slip of paper on the floor.
He waited for her to disappear out of sight, shamelessly watching her ass move through her tight jeans. Once she was out of sight, he leaned down and grabbed the paper, inspecting it quickly.
With sloppy handwriting, Katrina and a phone number. He smiled smugly, shoving the slip into his back pocket.
"Ethan Gray!"
The scolding voice made the hairs on the back of his neck rise. He turned sheepishly, staring at his downright furious—but still as beautiful as ever—mother.
"Hi, Mom," He said, running a hand through his hair nervously.
"Don't you hi mom me, mister. Just wait until your father finds out about this. What did you-"
Her rant was cut short by the sound of Mrs. Longwood's door creaking open. Katrina walked out, not before sending the boy a wink.
His mother yanked him by the forearm and dragged him into the office.
"Thank you for joining us on such short notice, Mrs. Gray," she started, not looking up from the fat stack of papers in front of her.
"Sure, sure. I know Ethan gets into a lot of trouble sometimes, but it's just how boys are, right? You need to take that into consideration when you're deciding his punish-"
"He's suspended for three weeks," she said coldly, finally meeting eyes with Ethan's poor mother.
He gulped.
Three weeks?
That was a long time.
"What?!" she shrieked, only beginning to panic. "Three weeks?! You can't do that! He has exams next-"
"The decision is final," Mrs. Longwood spoke, sounding bored.
"What did he even do?"
"He spray-painted a homophobic slur on the side of the school."
There it was.
"A homophobic slur?" she turned to her son, eyes wide with disappointment, and he sank back into the seat. The Grays, especially Ethan's mother, had a very tolerant and accepting mindset. Hearing that her son had done something like that, made her feel like she'd done a bad job raising him.
Jeez, Ethan didn't know it was that deep.
"You can't do that; you can't suspend him."
"I can and I will. We do not tolerate any type of hatred here at Monroe High," Mrs. Longwood explained, and the boy scoffed.
He couldn't help but think back to the time when he'd had to carry a guy to the nurse's office because the other kids had beat him so bad and left him unconscious in the bathroom. Where had she been then?
"It's not hatred. Ethan cannot be homophobic," his mother spoke steadily, a surge of confidence rushing through her, and he raised his eyebrow.
Where was this going?
The principle leaned forward, eyes sparkling with intrigue. "How come?"
"Because he's gay."
