A warm, desiring, excited feeling rushed through my body. I looked around hoping nobody saw the way I tensed at the rush. The last thing I needed was my pack being on my ass about how it was finally my turn to feel the way they did with their mates. I relaxed into the hard bleachers and continued to listen to our heavy set, grey haired principal droan on about even though the school year was almost over we still needed to put forth effort. I heard myself snicker at this and then felt six pairs of eyes train on me.
"Are you alright Alex?" I felt Jace lean down and whipser into my ear. Jace looked at me with an understanding look which told me he saw me tense.
"Yes of course I am why wouldn't I be?" I sent a scowl his way which told him to drop it. I then turned my attention back to the principal and once that got broing I turned it to the cheerlearder in the small skirt and tight top sitting next to me. I leaned over to her and murmured into her ear, "Let's get out of here and have some fun." She looked at me and then stood up and walked out of the gymnasim. I followed quickly after her. I could smell her scent of hazel nut and a hint of Chanel No.5. I followed her scent until I was in a row of lockers and there she leaned, seductively against the navy blue lockers. I was on her lips in a heart beat. Her arms wrapped possevily around my neck and pulled me closer to her. My hands traced up her shirt and then froze on her waist.
"What are you doing?!" My inner wolf seethed at me. "You can't touch this reject like this! You have a mate now she's the only one that deserves to be touched like this." My wolf snarled at me which told me I was making him seriously mad. I gave into him.
I sighed and pushed away from the cheerleader whos name, I think, is Erica. "I'm sorry but I've got somewhere else to be." I walked away from the disappointed face of the cheerleader and then went to the bathroom.
I leaned over a sink and washed ice cold water over my face. I looked into the mirror and "hunter" green eyes stared back at me. My mother called my eye colour "hunter" green because they were a dull green with brown and golden flecks. My warm brown hair whisped into my eyes.
"Are you doing okay? Are you having a hard time digesting the fact that your now officially tied to someone?" My omega wolf, Daniel's, voice mocked into my thoughts. A few months earlier I had said the same thing to him when he found out Harper was his mate and he could no longer sleep around with the cheerleaders.
"Daniel! Back the fuck off! You do not have the athourity to speak to your alpha that way even if it was in a joking matter." Josh, my delta wolf, barked at Daniel thorugh our mental pack link.
"Knock it off both of you." I growled to them and I felt a little satisfaction when they didn't return to my thoughts. I walked out of the bathroom and into the hallway which was now packed with kids who were exiting the gymnasim and going to their classes. I was making my way to my locker and pack when an intoxicating aroma filled my nostrils. My mouth began to salivatat. The smell of pine needles and roses overwhelmed me. My wolf vibrated with anticipation to finally see who his mate was. My eyes darted around the hallway as the aroma started to get distant.
"Don't loose her!" My wolf screamed at me. Before I could decide what to do I felt myself walking swiftly down the hallyway towards the lobby of the school. As I walked this direction the aroma started to get stronger again. I followed the smell past the lobby into the eastwing of the school. The farther I followed the less people were around. Finally it was just me and a gil in front of me. She wore a pair of shorts that showed a nice amount of her long tan legs, her white and blue Aeropostale shirt hugged her torso nicely, and she wore a pair of nary blue Vans that matched her shirt. Her platinum blond hair fell in a beautiful cascading waterfall down her back. Her smell was suffocating me and I urned to touch her.
'Touch her! Get her attention!" My wolf begged. I could hear him whimper. I reached my hand out and grazed my mates shoulder. She whipped around and focused her hate filled eyes on me.
"Don't touch me! Quit following me and don't speak to me. Ever." The face that looked at me sent me into shock. Tan skin, platinum blonde hair, golden honey eyes, and a small barely noticable scar above her right eyebrow. A scar that I gave her one day as we were wrestling as pups. I was looking into the eyes of my childhood frenemy, Alessandra Marie Lakoda. Her and I were best friends and enemies until one day her mother and father got into trouble with a rogue pack and left ours. I looked into her hate filled eyes still dumbfounded that my mate is an old friend. Alessandra snapped her fingers in front of my face, "Are you even listening?" Her words dripped venom and I felt my wolf feel hurt at the anger of his mate.
"What did I do to deserve all this hate?" I felt my anger slowly begin to boil and I felt hers start to boil over. Her eyes went as black as coal and I saw her cannines start to sprout and recede.
"What did you do? What did you fucking do?! I lost my parents to a rogue wolf attack! I've been traveling all over the world in and out of foster packs. Why did I lose them? Your father refused to help them. He was my fathers alpha and my father was his beta! You are supposed to help your pack not force them out." Her words were full of anger, hurt, hate, but most of all betrayal. She felt like we betrayed her and her parents. She started to back away and turn but I reached out and grabbed her shoulder. A loud menacing growl ripped from her chest. "Let. Me. Go." Her words shot like daggers at me. I could feel and see her shake with anger.
"We're mates though." I let out quietly. I wanted her to be my mate. She would be a great Luna for my pack. She looked at me in disbelief.
"We are not mates. I, Alessandra Marie Lakoda, refuse to be your, Alexander James Lenton's, mate." And with that she jerked from my grip and stormed down the hallway from the way we came.
