WHAT THE DUCK!

Molly's POV

"Congrats G. You too Harry." I said with fake enthusiasm, I sighed as Harry and G were surrounded by the others in a big group hug with them all saying "Congrats" or "That's amazing". I sighed again and got up from where I was, walking away from the group and out of the clearing.

I walked a bit further along until I reached the spring, where I found a tree that was tall and had big sturdy branches, I immediately started to climb the tall tree without stopping until I reached the last of the thick branches, where I stood leaning against the trunk of the tree with my arms crossed.

Jeez Molly your overreacting pull yourself together! I said to myself as I stared off looking at the acres of forest that surrounded where I was. You should be happy for them! Instead of moping around like this!

"Ughhhhhhhh" I groaned as I rubbed my hands up and down my face. "Yanno your gonna ruin your makeup if you do that." A voice called out from below me. "AHHHHH WHAT THE DUCK!!!" I screamed as I jumped up scared shitless. I looked down to see a mop of blonde hair, and red ruby eyes looking up at me from a few branches below.

"Niall! don't do that!" I said holding a hand above me chest feeling the rapid beating of my heart. "Sorry, but I tried getting your attention before but it didn't work." Niall said as he climbed up to the branch that I was on. "Yeah yeah, so why are you here and not with the others?" I asked nonchalantly turning to look out at the view again. "I should be asking you the same thing." Niall said as he sat down on the branch with his legs up to his chest.

We stayed in silence for a couple of minutes before Niall spoke to me again, "So why are you here and not with the others?" He asked standing up and walking towards me. I sighed and turned my body to face him, only to see that he was much to close for my liking so I took a step backwards, Niall following this continued until my back hit the trunk of the tree. "Niall, please stop." I said tears in my eyes. "Why? what's wrong?" Niall asked me, he was so close his breath fanning my face he was that close.

"It's just, me and Georgia have been friends since year five, since we were 11. A-And now that she's found her mate I'm worried that she'll be more interested in being with Harry than with me, I know it's stupid, it's- it's just we've been together for 8 years and now that could all fall apart because of a boy!" I said before I launched myself at Niall wrapping my arms around his waist, hiding my head in his neck. He slowly returned the hug by wrapping his arms around my back. "Hey, it's gonna be alright, I'm sure that's not gonna happen." Niall said as he rested his head on my shoulder. I nodded numbly into his neck, breathing in his scent. We stood still for a few more minutes, hugging, breathing in the fresh air.

"Do you want to go back now?" Niall asked pulling away a tiny bit. "Umm, I-I think so." I said giving Niall a small smile, which he returned, before I hugged him again, whispering "Thank you." Against his neck, his whole body shivering as I did so. "It's no problem, c'mon let's go back." Niall said as he pulled away from the hug. Again. and started climbing back down the tree. "Stop being a wuss and jump!" I said and Niall looked at me as if saying "Are you bloody serious?!?!?!?!"

"C'mon it's fun. Come back here and we'll jump together." I said smiling as I watched Niall debate with himself before he started climbing back up the tree. "We'll jump together yeah?" Niall said shakily as he got back on the branch. "Yeah." I said smiling and taking his hand in mine. "On three."

"One" I counted as Niall's breathing quickend.

"Two." I counted Niall's hand started sweating, and he gripped onto my hand for dear life.

"Three!" I said jumping and pulling Niall down with me. We landed on our feet with a 'oomph'. "Wooh that was crazy." Niall said smiling at me and looking down at our hands. Which I instantly disconnected blushing in embarrassment. "C'mon let's go." I said walking ahead of Niall, I heard him catch up before he walked in time with me. "What was that about?" Niall asked taking my hand in his again. "Nothing, it's just I'm not sure of anything right now, and this," I said gesturing between us, "Is only confusing me more." I said looking down at our hands.
