When Harry was just sixteen years old, his day started out normal. His family was going on a car ride, like usual, driving through the woods on an early spring day, when disaster struck.
A truck came out of nowhere, and smashed into the side of the car.
The side his mum was on.
The side he was on.
The impact lunged Harry forward, making him hit his head off the back of his mum's seat in front of him.
Then he blacked out.
He remembered going in and out of consciousness, before they were in the hospital, and then once they were.
He remembered waking up once on the way trough the hospital halls.
His vision was blurry, and everything around him was moving fast.
He could feel the pain in his left foot, and the breathing mask on his face, over his nose and mouth.
He saw no one he knew, or at least he couldn't see the faces clear enough to see if it was anyone he knew, anyways.
Then he remembered blacking out again.
But when he woke up again, it was different.
He didn't think he had woken up at all, everything was black, but he could tell it was somehow lighter than before.
He remembered blinking a couple times, but still only black.
"Harry...", He heard his mum's voice, and a hand was placed on top of his.
"...mum?", he asked, hesitant, not sure if it was actually her.
Then he heard crying.
"Oh I was so worried, thank god you're ok", His mum said, then he felt lips on his forehead, but he still couldn't see anything.
But he smelled his mum's perfume, and his sister's.
"Harry?", His sister voiced asked.
"Gem", Harry said, trying to look in the direction of the voice.
"Harry love, were over here", His mum said.
Harry tried again, but failed.
"...mum is he ok?", Gemma whispered to Anne.
"I don't know", Anne replied.
It was silent for a few seconds.
Harry felt alone, like no one was there, but they were.
"Harry darling, look at me", Anne said.
Harry tried again.
"He's turning the wrong way", Gemma said.
"Harry...", Anne said, concern filling her voice.
Harry was worried now.
"...Harry, can't you see us?", Anne asked.
Harry shook his head, the tears coming to his eyes.
"I can't see, mum", Harry said, swallowing hard.
"I can't see you", Harry said, choking on his words.
Then he heard the sobs of his mother, and his sister.
He immediately felt arms around him, and he knew it was his mother from the warmth.
"Baby boy, I'm so sorry", Anne sobbed.
