Chapter 3
"I...I want to go home," at last, Yssa uttered those words profoundly straight to the face of this one-hour man who is sitting right in front of her in an Inn, the countryside of Venice. He was sitting but seemed to be not as well. As if he was thinking deeply. Since they met, those were the expressions she could get from this sort of harmless man, she might think.
"My name is Jason West. Yes I know at this very moment you have been recognizing me, the things that I do, as well as the things that I have done in my past. But those were histories. What I am more concerned of here, is your safety. In the first place, you should have not boarded with me and should have not involved into this kind of trouble. But there are just some things in which I couldn't stop. And this, is one of those," his sweet pretty brown eyes seemed to tell her the whole truth, nothing but the truth. As he was saying those dashing words, Yssa could not help but to be amazed with the whole being that Jason is showing the whole time.
Though, after hearing the guy's name, she was a bit startled, not because she knows the guy but because she was wondering why he said that she might have recognized him. What's wrong with this man? She thought. Is he a kind of celebrity or what? But she just couldn't voice those words out for she's still confused and perplexed with everything that had happened to them.
Five minutes passed, nothing's changed with their positions. Jason, who is still sitting on a stall, staring courageously at her in his deep-thought-mode as well, while Yssa embraced herself a lil bit more not because of the coldness of the air condition unit but because she felt like she needs a tap from behind to tell her that everything's real, that she is not dreaming. She slowly rubbed her arms and began to lean backward on the bed's head.
"Look, I know it's really hard for you, but we need to get through this, we need to- ", but before he could finish his words Yssabela started to face him straight to his face saying,
"I am Yssabela Mcfadden, an exchanged student here in Venice, my dream is just to get a degree and be hired in a prestigious company. But I screwed up. I failed in two of my major subjects, my Visa reached its limits, the university kicked me out and this country is deporting me back to my country and I can't contact anyone at home," a tear fell from her left eye but she immediately covered her face with her long dark hair.
"So I guess, yeah we need to get this through. So, let's call it a day, huh?" then she stood up, head down, and hurriedly walked towards the bathroom with a sobbing voice, "I need to go to the bathroom, excuse me."
Even without saying a word, Jason knew the feeling. He's sorry for her.
Police sirens could be heard outside the Inn and thoughts began to linger in Jason's head. He stood up, and proceeded to the window to take a covert look about the happenings outside.
They were dwelling at the Inn's third floor perfect enough to observe the commotion within the perimeter. He quickly noticed a black private car 50 meters from the Inn, south and a gray Starex 40 meters, north. It seemed that the whole blocks were surrounded and already secured by the antagonists and he calculated that they only have three minutes to evaporate from the area.
