My eyes dart from Camila's bags to her hand where she's reaching for the doorknob and then back to her bags again. Everything she owned that was in my house was now in those bags. If I let her turn that door handle and walk out, I just knew there would be no turning back and I would lose her forever.

"Please don't leave me." My voice came out shaky due to the tears falling endlessly from where they were gathering in my eyes. Strange feelings rushed up along my spine at the feeling of watching her about to leave, I just knew that there was something I could do to prevent this.

"I'm sorry, Lauren." Camila apologized again, my favorite pair of beautiful brown eyes trained on the ground; she wasn't game enough to look back at me. She knew it would change her mind. "This just isn't going to work."

"We can do this." I blurted out as soon as she was done talking, the desperation evident in my tone.

"I'm sorry, but we can't come back to this." Her shoulders sunk down ever lower as she let out a sigh. She shifted her arms for a second to strengthen the grip on her bags before she finally opened the door and walked out the room. Camila closed the door behind her and she was finally gone from my vision; I just knew I wasn't going to see her again.

A familiar numb feeling rushed through my body, the same feeling I'd been having since Camila decided she was going to leave. It burned in my chest and settled at the bottom of my throat. And while it felt like there was something I could do about it, there was nothing I could do.

The feeling finally overtook my body and my legs gave out, I feel forward.

But when my knees hit the ground, they came to rest amongst soft green grass. I was suddenly outside on my knees, in the grass.

When I tilted my head back, I could see the stars. They always looked the same, almost like the galaxies had been written out the same way every time. The blue light tickled my face as more tears rolled down my cheeks.

I wished she would come back to me.

She screamed.
