"Sooyoung-ah.. I can't believe you can do something like this to me.. Was I a bad friend? Why.."

Sohyun stated, tears started to leak from her eyes. Her mom and dad beside her was comforting her.

Sooyoung in the other hand was shocked. She can't believe her best friend can turn on her like this.. After she risked her life just to save her. It was a miracle that she survived the fall with just minimal injuries. The rescuers found them almost an hour later back then. And now with a broken arm and several bruises all over her body, her best friend is blaming everything on her.

"What are you even saying? That was an accident.. You tripped on-"

"I remember you pushing me off the cliff before I passed out!", Sohyun cut her off and cried again.

"Are you that jealous of me? Of what I have? Because everyone likes me and not you? Is this why you befriended me? To get rid of me so you can have all that I have?"

Sohyun's words didn't make sense to Sooyoung at all. She's at a loss of words. She can't even feel anything right now besides feeling betrayed and irritated.. mad even.

Is this Sohyun's true self? Was she just using Sooyoung so she can make herself look even admirable? Was their friendship even true? Even just for a single second?

She looked at the Kim's one last time. The way they looked at her felt like she killed Sohyun in the most brutal way. She was the one who's injured.. Hell, she even saved her! Sooyoung couldn't stand this anymore. She just wants to runaway and be alone.

"If this is what I get for saving you..."

It has been two years since Sooyoung left her hometown and came to Seoul. Her aunt from her mother's side took her in after knowing what happened to her.

Townspeople were furious at her and started bombarding her house, throwing stuff at her whenever she goes out and calling her names.

Some of her classmates even dragged her to the school's swimming pool one time and attempted to drown her, good thing someone was there at the moment and told them off. She couldn't remember his name but he knew her. She would've thanked him a lot if she was still the old Sooyoung, but dark times made her heart turn cold. She didn't even bother to ask for the guy's name and just took off after the incident.

She's utterly disappointed, sad and mad at how things are going for her. More so to those who don't even know what really happened and just believed whatever bull of a story that came from Sohyun's side.

She couldn't take it anymore that's why she left town.

She's better now.

New university, new environment, a few friends (actually, her four cousins), she even dyed her hair back to black.

She's actually doing great in school. Majoring in Music, she found an outlet for all her piled up emotions. But she still distances herself from others, always keeping her guard up when someone approaches her. She promised herself not to trust anyone anymore. People will eventually betray you no matter how long or how deep your relationship has become.. that's just human nature. She learned that the hard way.

"Sooyoung-ah! Can you pass me my flute over there?", one of her cousins, Wendy, called on her.

"Here unnie..", as Sooyoung handed her the flute.

They are practicing at the auditorium for their practical exam while waiting for their other cousins.

She and her cousins are all majoring in music-related stuff. Sooyoung and Wendy on Music, which includes singing and playing instruments. Irene, the eldest of them, majors in piano. Seulgi, her cat-eyed cousin, majors in dance. And Yeri, the youngest of them, majors in songwriting.
