I had fun last night.
He made me laugh a real laugh,
And smile a real smile.
It felt nice, not having to pretend,
Even if it was just for the night.
I think he wanted it to be a date,
But I told him I wasn't ready to date.
He understood.
I'm surprised he still wants to be my friend.
I was happy with him,
Except for one little moment.
When I asked if we were on a date,
He got nervous.
He rubbed the back of his neck and grinned at me sheepishly...
