Behind The Mask [Wonho X Reader]

chapter five

We talked a couple of hours about the colloboration. The manager of Monsta X is actually really excited. I guess, considering about what he had said and how he talked, he really adores [Y/S/N]. But maybe he just acted like that for business reasons. I can't assess that right.

Sometimes I got strange looks from a guy which name is Minhyuk, probably because of me wearing a mask. I'm used to it, many people think that I'm exaggerating about hiding my identy in business meetings. But I've already told y'all why I am doing this and right now especially because of Wonho.

All in all, I'll do a mini mixtape with them and one track will be played live, also with a perfomance. They want to make it very "awesome" (Yeah, that's an adjective they used, not me) since YG and Starship want to work more together. I almost paid attention. Mostly I was staring at Wonho. But I think he didn't noticed. Good for me.

"Hey." Someone interrupted me while I was staring emotionless at my phone. 

I put my phone beside and looked up. It was Wonho. I immediately was afluttered. 

"H-hi." Is all what I could say. I watched around. There was no one left in this room except him and I. 

"I really like your music and I, no we, look forward to work with you!" 

"I feel the same. I am excited." I smiled and made a thumbs up. "You're Wonho, right?" He nod. 

"Yes, I am. By the way, I met your friend [Y/N]. She actually has many similarities with you. Especially how you both talk. But since you're friends since childhood that isn't very unusual, haha"

"Yes, she told me. She said you're nice and that you love ramen the way she does, haha." We botch chuckled.

"I know [Y/N] is working here. Have you seen her? I would like to see her in her work because she told me she can dance. She needs to show me!"

I gulped. Now its getting serious.

"Oh... Yes! Ehhh... I haven't seen her today but maybe she'll come around soon. Maybe give a look in the dance practice room. Eventually she's there." He nod, thanked me with a smile and headed off. As he went outside the door I promptly stood up and ran to my locker where I, different as on other days where I just leave my stuff at the dance practice room, put my clothes.

I went to the restroom, changed my clothes into my ordinary outfit. I took of the mask and also the wig and lastly I fixed my hair.

When I went outside of the restroom Wonho greeted me.

"[Y/N]! I was about to look after you. I am pleased to see you!" He smiled. Wow he is so handsome actually. 

"Really? That's nice! What you're doing here anyways, I thought Monsta X is signed at Starship?" I joked. Even though this wasnt funny at all.. Nevermind. 

"Haha. [Y/S/N] didn't tell you? We'll do a colloboration at MAMA - We had a meeting a few minutes ago." 

I tried to seem surprised. "Oh, she haven't told me about that yet. But anyways, this sounds very cool! So you've met her already." I put on a weak smile. Well it's good that he already met [Y/S/N]. Imagine he asks me to bring [Y/S/N] or something like that. But what I'm talking about? We just met. He doesn't know me. Where do I know if he wants to deal with me after knowing myself better, except for [Y/S/N], of course. And also, this could be very dangerous. But as I know me, I was never in love and I won't be anyways. I hope so. But I guess I am not his type anyway. I am not even korean, neither I am that skinny. 

Wonho interrupted my thoughts. "Yeah, she reminds me of you. In a positive way. Do you know you have many similarities with her?" Again he smiles. That smile can kill and save lifes at the same time. 

I caught myself staring at him.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"O-oh, no, definetly not! Yes we do have similarities. We know each other for a long time. And I feel.. honored!" I smiled back at him while scratching my neck awkwardly.

"WONHO-AH! Where you? We're heading" Someone shouted from the end of the floor.

"I guess I need to go." Wonho looked in the direction where the shouts came from. "Eomma Kihyun is already looking for me." He roled is eyes. I chuckled. "Thanks for the nice talk. We'll meet again, yes?"

"Of course, Wonho. Tell me about the meeting later. [Y/S/N] will definetly be busy later. Only if you're free!" 

"I guess I am free this evening. I'll write you anyways." He winks. We stayed there awkwardly.

"Wonho, hurry up! Hyungwon wants to go eat." Kihyun's voice again appears. 

"What a kid. I really have to go, sorry [Y/N]. See you!" He went off as I chuckled at this situaion. 

I turned around and wanted to head to the dance practice room when my manager stopped me and said: "You know him already and that not as [Y/S/N]?" I laughed.

"Yes, I do. We met recently. But you have to explain something. Why are you like this lately? Signing things before telling me. That's not cool. Imagine walking in here and Wonho recognized [Y/S/N] as [Y/N]!"

He tried to reassure me. "Listen, that wasn't actually my choice - It's an intern label thing between YG and Starship. I was just informed about that this morning."

"Okay. And I read it on twitter." I rolled my eyes. 

"[Y/N], be careful. You know that this is very dangerous for [Y/S/N] and you. I can see you like him-"

"N-no! I don't! As a friend maybe!" I interrupted him and I realised that this was impolite. "Sorry..."

"[Y/N] I actually do know you. You've never showed those expressions or emotions whatever towards anyone. Not even in front of the most handsome dudes I've seen so far. And I also know you never liked someone more" 

I hesitated. "Stop now. I will be careful, okay. I am not his type anyways! But please, just write me a message if they're here. So I can change before or anything" I begged. He laughed and nod.

"[Y/N], you're like a kid. Where should you know you're not his type? You're pretty and you have a nice personality. Maybe he likes you too."

I said nothing.

"Now go, work out. They'll come tomorrow and we start collecting ideas. I.M and Jooheon will write the rap parts, you the vocals with Kihyun, Wonho and Minhyuk. And after that you all need to decide the choreographies with Shownu and Hyungwon. Be sure you're here at 7 AM."

"7 AM?! That's -"

"- Early. I know. That's the idol life, darling. Now go, I need to check up things."

Unsatisfied but happy to work with Monsta X I went to the practice room. 

I hope everything goes right and I won't disappoint fans, family and friends at MAMA in the first place.
