I walked around the mall, looking for a jewelry store. I needed to buy a present for my sister, since it was her birthday soon.
After walking around for some time, I managed to get lost.
Shit
I tried searching for the way back to my car but I felt like I was getting more and more lost.
Deciding to step up my game, I walked up to a lady that looked kind, and prayed to God she could help me.
"Ehm excuse me..." I started.
But the lady turned towards and started speaking Korean, very fast.
"S-sorry I don't speak Korean..." I blushed a little, feeling awkward I just wasted her time.
The kind lady didnt seem to understand that I couldn't understand her, so while she kept talking I just smiled a little, nodded in apology saying some more times that I couldn't understand, and after she seemd to understand and she nodded, I quickly walked away.
Good job me. Why did you not get that Korean cursus mom told you to take, before moving to Korea?
I mentally scolded myself as I kept walking, completely clueless of where I was going.
Google maps was not an option, as 1: I didn't exactly know where I parked my car, and 2: my phone's battery was dead.
As this was not gonna work, I really was gonna have to ask someone again. This time I'd ask a younger person, someone around my age, as they are more likely to know at least a bit of English.
So I walked up to this really beautiful girl (like really beautiful, I kind of wanted to ask her number but my phone battery was dead and well, if I can't remember where I parked my car I won't remember a phone number either), and there I went.
"Excuse me, do you speak English?"
She smiled at me kindly, but the look on her face said enough "sorry eh English not eh good..."
I smiled back and nodded. "Okay thank you."
Just as I wanted to walk off, about to give up on getting to my car today, someone tapped my shoulder. I looked around, expecting the girl, but it wasn't her.
"Hey I happend to hear your conversation, and saw you looked really lost, can I help you?" A tall man spoke, once I looked up.
Damn he's handsome
He had beautiful eyes and his smile was more genuine than any I'd ever seen.
"Is everything okay?" He asked when I was too busy staring at his gorgeousness to hear the question.
"Eh sorry what did you say?" I blushed heavily but somehow I didn't break the eyecontact like I normally do, this time I was too interested in his eyes. He neither broke the eye contact as he quickly repeated what he'd said, but with a blush on his face.
"Oh ehm yeh I'm a little lost..." I broke the eye contact and looked around. "But like nobody here speaks English and I don't speak a word Korean." I was still blushing and my heart was beating so fast.
This man's beauty is no joke
He chuckled
Chuckled
"Where do you need to go?" He asked me.
"Well..." I told him what I had come to the mall for and how I had now even managed to forget where my car was.
"Oh I know a really nice store!" He smiled. "Shall I show you?"
Now normally people tell you to not follow strangers, and it's true, you shouldn't just follow strangers, but the way he smiled send tingles through my stomach and all I wanted at that moment was to trust him.
"That'd be really nice." I smiled.
"Yey!" He kept smiling and extended his hand towards me, I took it, and he shook it. "I'm Namjoon, nice to meet you."
"I'm (y/n), nice to meet you too." He chuckled at our formality, as did I.A few minutes later we arrived at the store and he helped me pick out a present I could send to my sister back home.
After I payed we walked out of the store.
"Do you have somewhere to be or can I show you my favorite restaurant here?" Namjoon smiled, with a blush.
"Oh eh I have the entire night." I smiled, while the butterflies were dancing around my stomach like it was summer, realising only a few seconds later that that sounded pretty bad, I facepalmed. "That sounded bad sorry."
He chuckled.
"I meant yes I'd like to see your favorite restaurant."
"I figured." He laughed sweetly at my clumsiness, as I looked away laughing a bit aswell.
Goodjob me
I felt his eyes on me as we kept walking, and not even a second later I heard a thump and an "Owww".
I probably shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did.
Namjoon had not been looking where he was walking, so he hadn't seen there was a street lantern in his way.
The poor boy rubbed his shoulder but started laughing a bit when he noticed I was laughing that hard. That evening Namjoon took me out for dinner, and made me the promise he'd show me around the city the coming few weeks, so we did.
