ONE:
Once upon a time there lived a beautiful young maiden by the name of Ileana she was nothing but kind and just toward the people of the small land of Ablin that lay between the Rocky Mountains and lush valleys over which her parents ruled. Ablin existed in the era of knights and dragons, and year when people were not so ignorant to the truth…magic did exist. Ileana was bestowed upon the greatest destiny from the day of conception, a fate that she could not fulfill alone, one that determined the fate of her soul, all things good and magical, and of humanity itself. On the same day the king and queen announced the birth of their beautiful daughter, princess Ileana Shry, another life was brought into the world, Jesse Alden, born to a peasant family, a sword smiths and bakers son. Little did he know that he was also given the same destiny as Princess Ileana. Their fate: Love. For without each other they could not complete the larger part of their destinies, to defeat what lay in the dark, waiting to take over the kingdom. The prophecy stated that one boy and one girl would unite, led by their guardian, to defeat the darkness. They would be reborn until their destiny is complete.
Ileana roamed the streets alone. The rebellious stage. She had snuck away from her personal maids and managed to evade the guard at the palace gates. She wore a dark cloak to hide her identity because surely enough once spotted she would be taken back to the castle immediately. Ileana felt trapped like the world around her were being censored she never went anywhere without at least 5 guards there to protect her. Her parents have always been open, kind and inviting toward the villagers; if they were so surly there was nothing for her to fear.
She rounded the corner into a dark ally. By now they must have found her missing, her father had probably sent out the entire army to bring her home, this hadn’t been her first escape and everyone always turned out the same; she knew she would end up home by sun up but the punishment would be worth it, worth getting to be a part of the world for those few hours.
***Ileana***
“Princess Shry!” the cries were near, they were looking.
“God.” I turned the corner in the direction I had just come sparing a glance back to make sure they weren’t on to me yet. I slammed into someone causing both of us to fall to the ground.
“Jesus! Would you look out where you’re going.” He was handsome: tall, lean and young. My age maybe. There was something about this boy that drew me to him a strong connection that I couldn’t deny. I stared into his eyes but all I could recognize was his stare of awe. The stare that assured me my hood had fallen.
“Princess!” the cries were getting louder.
“Quickly, I need to hide.”
***Jesse***
She was beautiful. I had never seen her in person but I have heard people talking, there words did not paint a picture that did half justice. I was speechless I felt a strong pull toward her that I couldn’t explain something I had never felt for anyone before.
“Princess!” I heard the cries. So she ran away? Why would SHE ever want to run away from a life like that?
“Quickly, I need to hide.” I didn’t say anything. “PLEASE!”
I blinked in confusion but quickly grabbed her by the wrist and guided her behind some barrels.
“You!” the guard was nearly ten paces behind me, my heart thumped louder. “It’s late for someone of your age to be out.”
