The Journey

Chapter 1:Travelers

On an island in an Ocean in Hawaii, there lives a 16 year old girl named Moana of Motunui, a chief of a Father, loving Mother, a pet pig named Pua, and a chicken named hey hey.

After My grandmother died all I could think about was her last words and what she had left for me. As moana looked at her grandmother's necklace a voice in her head appeared " You will find a way" said the grandmother tala in her head. Gramma Tala was all she had on her mind that she did not notice her name being called.  As she closes her eyes she listens to the Ocean waves and hears her name whisper through the winds of the ocean" Moana" said the Ocean "Hello is anyone there" i said. As i listen for my name there was no /one there and as she  hears again "Moana" and looks straight from where she was sitting and it was towards the ocean. As she still listens from the ocean to her ears she starts to get closer and head towards the ocean thinking she was going crazy. She hears another voice a woman's as she is walking in the ocean, "Moana" and quickly turns to see her mother from a far distance calling her name. "What are you doing the travelers are hear for a visit, come on let's meet them" said the mother loudly. As i run to catch up to my mother and took a glance back before i left to go to my village.

As Moana and her mother walk through the path that leads from the beach ." Why do we have to meet the travelers i mean is there a reason" i said." Yes, and i know what you are going to say" said the mother, as they both say " Why do we have to meet travelers why can't they stay on there own island" as they both say, leaving Moana shocked and realizing how it annoys her mother when she complains. We are here to support our island and the other ones around us, which is why we all have to meet to support nature that we are all working together to support our islands by means we all work together" said the Mother as I rolled her eyes. " Oh don't get all shabby' said the Mother as she walk off to the village " And besides it's a tradition so deal with it" which was the last words my mother said before reaching the village." Oh honey over here" said the father," You guys are finally here let meet the travelers" As we walk up to see the travelers getting off their boats and greeting everyone as the chief of their own island come over to greet us.

"I am Chief Orsi of Fiji, you have a nice island" said the leader of the travelers." Well thank you we would like to see your island some ti-" said my father as he was cut, "and have a big feast on our island" said Chief Orsi as he shouted for the whole village to hear. " It is very nice to meet you" said Chief Orsi, " You too, I am Chief Tui and this is my wife Sina and my Daughter Moana" said my father as he introduced us. " Well i would like you to meet my son Guy" said my father as he stepped in front of his father." Hi i am Guy it is very nice to me too" said Guy. Than after he had introduced himself i felt an arm pull me to the front of everyone which was my father."What do you say" said Father Tui as he whispered, i hold my hand out to Guy to shake his hand and say" Hi, I am Moana of Motunui and i am here to show you our island we are going to take a tour will you follow me please" i said. As me and guy go off to take a tour through the village, Everyone else was enjoying each other's company and having a good time, cooking a barbecue, kids running around and music.

Later on,as Guy and I reach the beach which was the final stop."Look" said Guy as i turn to face him,"I don't know why we do this but i don't like it" said guy as i was looking confused."What do you mean" i said "going to other people's islands and having big parties, barbecues and all that stuff it's just tiring  and annoying" said guy."Oh my gosh i feel the same way why can't we just take a chill and relax"as i said with relief "You too that's amazing" "I know i just want to do great adventures and big things not meet people in the same area i mean they are not going nowhere" i said "so true" said guy."Look we are suppose to be be back by now and they know where we are, so do u wanna go for a swim" i said "Better than anything" said guy. As we ran to the water we took a big dip.

Back at the village everyone is having a good time but Chief Orsi is getting curious as he is walking over to Chief Tui."Hey Tui" said Orsi ,"Chief Tui you say" said Tui with a demand "Whatever where is my son it's been too long"said Orsi. "My daughter is probably still giving the tour they will be back before you know it" said Tui. "You are no help i will find them myself" said Orsi and he storms off through the path of the woods.

Back at the beach Guy and Moana sitting chilling on the sand watching the Ocean waves and the big bright sun going down."So is this what you do just watch the waves when you don't wanna be back there with your family" said Guy."Yes, this is what i do and just think for a moment that i am not just the Chief's daughter i want to be more than that" i said as i was about to pour my heart out."After my grandmother had died all i have left of her is this' i said as i showed him the necklace around my neck."Wow it's beautiful" said Guy as he touched it."Hey u wanna kill the sad mood and jump back into the ocean again before we head back" said Guy "I would love to " i said. We than race to the Ocean and enjoyed the sea. As we were swimming in the water the waves began to move faster and the water was moving up to our chins, the water was starting to glow bright green as the reaction on guy's face was towards me " What's wrong"i said and he grabbed my necklace"This looks familiar"said guy "Was that in my necklace" i said while grabbing It back."No i have seen that before, I've seen those drawings in my stories when i was little"said guy as he pointed to the carving of the stone"It's the heart" i said while looking confused "The Heart of Tafihti " they both said" as they both stared at each other in silence.
