the light from above

a luminous beauty that shines from the heavens

you cast light to my darkness

you guide the ocean with your smile

luminous light, reflecting off the tides 

your glowing, gentle smile

makes my heart melt

but we can't be one

You are night and I am day

so different but equally the same

you spread light

I spread light

you guard the night bringing them sleep

I watch over the day, bringing the land to life

I want your heart moon

And you want mine

but I may only see you when your light shines over mine

The moon and the sun

many say it's not meant to be
