Lucy was at Natsu's mansion when Gray came, "hey what do you think of me?" he asked." your a nice guy if that's what your asking...". Gray started to go near Lucy. Lucy was pinned to the wall and Gray was in front of her, leaning his face to Lucy's. Lucy heard a creek to her right. It was Natsu and he looked puzzled. "let go of me..." Lucy said trying to get out of Gray's grip but failed for he was to strong for her. Lucy looked at Natsu with pleading eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks. Natsu's face now full of anger rushed to them and grabbed Lucy out of Gray's grasp. Natsu then pulled Lucy behind him. "what the hell do you think your doing Natsu?" Gray asked frustrated. "protecting Lucy.." Natsu growled. "your one to talk.." Gray yelled. Natsu put his arm behind him holding on to Lucy's arm, bringing her closer to him. "I'm not the one who tried to kiss her... and she doesn't want to kiss you.." Natsu half yelled. "yeah...right...and why wouldn't Lucy want to kiss me?" Gray asked sarcastic. "because you don't deserve her... your an ass whole who doesn't give a shit about her!!!" Natsu yelled backing into Lucy a little more. Lucy then wrapped her arms around Natsu's stomach and rested her head on his back. Natsu looked back to see Lucy hugging him and blushed a little. "Natau!!! get away from Lucy!! you don't deserve her!!!" Gray yelled. "Na..tsu.." Lucy said weakly. "Hm..?" Natsu replied still blushing slitly. "I...don't trust Gr..ay.." Lucy said a little scared hugging Natsu a little tighter. "What!!??" Gray half yelled half asked, hurt. "..you heard her... I don't want you near Lucy any longer...you have 5 minutes to get your things and get the hell off my property.." Natsu growled. "Whatever... you'll regret it.." Gray yelled stomping down the stairs. Lucy stood still hugging Natsu with her face hidden in his back until she heard the front door slam shut. Natsu turned around to face Lucy, his eyes full of guilt with a worried look on his face. "Lucy.I.." Natsu started but stopped when he saw that Lucy was falling asleep. Natsu picked Lucy up and carried her to her room. Natsu settled Lucy down in bed and turned to walk out of the room when he felt a hand grab his. He turned to see Lucy grabbing his hand. "Natsu... can you stay with me... I'm scared.." Lucy asked blushing a little. Natsu smiled, ".. of course.." he said and sat down on Lucy's bed. Lucy sat up and moved to Natsu and hugged him, resting her head on his shoulder. Natsu wrapped his arms around Lucy's waist pulling her to lay down with him. Lucy yawned and hid her flushed cheeks into Natsu's chest and fell asleep. "..good night Lucy..." Natsu said and stroked her hair as she slept peacefully in his arms...
A few hours later...
Lucy woke up to see Natsu sleeping soundly. Lucy then blushed to see that she was in his arms and was going to smack Natsu but then remembered. Last night in how he protected her from Gray, and how she asked him to stay with her for she was scared but when Natsu wrapped his warm, comforting arms around her she felt safe. Lucy then smiled and wrapped her arms around Natsu, "thank you Natsu.. for everything..." Lucy said. "no problem... i only did it cause i..." Natsu stopped and didn't finish his sentence for he felt as if someone was watching them. Natsu sat up quickly and looked around as if he heard something. Lucy also sat up looking around then at Natsu. "Natsu... what is it??" Lucy asked worried. Natsu didn't want Lucy to be scared. "n..nothing..nothings wrong.." Natsu said trying to get Lucy to believe it. "are you sure...Natsu...you don't look soo good.." Lucy said resting her hand on his shoulder. "I'm fine...."Natsu said a little harsh making Lucy flinch. Tears streamed down Lucy's face in fear. "Lucy...no..I.. I didn't mean that...I'm sorry... please don't cry.." Natsu said startled by what he just did. Natsu hugged Lucy tightly. Natsu felt Lucy hugging him back and he found himself relieved that she did. Lucy hid her face in Natsu's neck still hugging him and he held her so she wont fall back. It stayed quiet for awhile but soon enough the silence was broken by a sneeze. Natsu looked at Lucy who was starting to shiver. Natsu removed one of his arms from around Lucy and he took his one sleeve off, then he wrapped his arm back around her and did the same with the other arm. Natsu got his shirt off and wrapped it around Lucy then wrapped his arms around her. Lucy woke up to see Natsu still up and sitting with his shirt off and it around her. "Natsu..? aren't you cold like that??" Lucy asked yawning rubbing her eyes. "no...not really why..?" Natsu replied. "because its cold and you can get sick without a shirt on!!" Lucy somewhat yelled worried about Natsu. "sorry Lucy...I didn't mean to make you worry..." Natsu said placing his hand on her cheek. Lucy leaned her face into Natsu's hand and Natsu pulled her face closer and closed his eyes. Lucy put her arms around Natsu's neck leaning closer to his face as well. Natsu and Lucy's lips were now an inch apart, but Natsu stopped and so did Lucy. Natsu was wide eyed and was looking around the room. Lucy was blushing and saw Natsu looking worried. "Natsu??" Lucy started but stopped when Natsu looked at her with caring eyes. "Lucy....I'm sorry i cant..not now somethings wrong.." Natsu said wiping a tear from Lucy's cheek with a swipe of his thumb. "Natsu... what's wrong..??" Lucy said worried as she placed her hand on Natsu's which was on her cheek. "we have to go we're not safe here." Natsu said and right when he finished his sentence the glass shattered and Natsu had Lucy duck down and he was on top of her protecting Lucy from the shattering glass. As Natsu was protecting Lucy then they heard a boom and Lucy saw blood dripping down Natau's back and arm. Natsu let out a whimper and gritted his teeth together. "Na..tsu..!!" Lucy said wide eyed tears flowing down her face. "Hey... shh.. its ok.. I'm alright...alright..Lu..cy.. sshh..hey..don't cry.." Natsu said in pain wiping her tears away with his thumb. "Natsu..please don't move... you'll bled more.." Lucy said continuing to cry putting her hands on Natsu's cheeks. Natsu moved closer to Lucy his one hand stroking her hair the other hand on her cheek, Natsu kissed Lucy on the lips, "Lucy... I love you.." Natsu whispered into Lucy's ear. Lucy hugged Natsu gently, "I love you too.." Lucy whispered back and kissed Natsu on the forehead tears still streaming down her face. "Natsu..please... lay down.." Lucy asked hugging him trying to get Natsu to lay down. "no.. I cant... ill hurt you.." Natsu says panting. "No you wont.. I promise..please.." Lucy said touching his cheek. Natsu obeys and lays down. Lucy feels the blood drip down from his wound to down her arm. Lucy lets Natsu fall asleep on her, Natsu's face is barried into her neck. She can feel the short but fast breathes of Natsu and the sweat on the back of his neck. As his body is on hers.
