A child of two worlds

Spector 6

I had on my Mandalorian armor and helmet while I was on a mission with my team.

"Spector 6 come in." A voice said over my ear piece.

"This is Spector 6 what can I do for you Spector 1?" I asked as I ran on top of the buildings.

"You can make a distraction with Spector 5." He said annoyed.

"Alright hey Spector 5 lets light this place up." I said happily as I got my bomb out and put it in a fruit.

"Got it Spector 6 is Spector 7 in place?" She asked softly.

"Yea he is in place lets go now!" I yelled as I threw the fruit bomb.

It hit the wall and knocked down three troopers. I ran with Spector 5 to the ship and jumped on.

"Nice going Sabine." I said as I took off my helmet.

"Thanks Mia so where is Kanan and the others?" She asked smiling at me.

"They will be here soon him and Ezra have something they need to get." I said as I set down on a crater.

"I hate waiting."

"I know I do to so how is things with getting Fenn Rau on our side?" I asked looking at her.

"He is stubborn.... reminds me of you. Sometimes." She said laughing.

"You sure he doesn't remind you of Kanan or Ezra they both are stubborn. In fact they and Zeb are more stubborn that me." I said laughing.

We talked for a while until the crew got into the ship. Ezra sent me and Sabine a smile and Kanan handed Sabine a box.

"What is that?" I asked confused.

"Fulcrum said it was the key to saving Mandalore.... said only the true ruler can open it." Kanan explained.

I looked at Sabine and watched as she tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. She gave it back to me and I just stared at it. I close my eyes as I remember the first time I saw this box.

"Mia this box has been passed down from generation to generation, and one day it will be yours." My mother said looking down at me happily.

"What's in it?" I asked looking at it.

My mother opened the box to show me a ring with a golden band and a red gem. She picked it up and placed it on my finger smiling happily at me.

"Will I become the next ruler?" I asked smiling up at her.

"Yes and until then the ring will be safe and only you and I can open this box to get it." She said as she pulled the ring off my finger and placed it in the box.

I opened my eyes to see everyone staring at me. I handed it to Kanan and walked out of the room.

"Don't you wanna try to open it?" Sabine asked.

"Why try when I know I'm not the one it's for?" I asked as I went to my room.

I walked into my room and set down on my bed as I held my helmet in my hand. That box was a family heirloom and only I could open it. I knew this but still I didn't trust myself with it. I can't be the ruler my mother was.... I can't help my planet.
