As we made it into my warm home, the rain began to fall harder. The scent of rain filled the house, making me drowsy and want a drink.
I walked over to my liquor cabinet, looking for something to distract me from the rain, and Kali.
"You want a drink?" I offered, nodding my head in her direction. She vigorously shook her head, and kept her gaze on the racing rain drops on the window. I fill my cup only a fourth of the way full, not wanting to get completely smashed.
I made my way to the couch that Morana was occupying.
"Is there something wrong?" I questioned. The scent of nicotine and lavender quickly filed my nose. She looked over at me, and I took in every detail of her face. Her large brown eyes were surrounded by long lashes. Her freckles were dull, but comforting. Her lips were full, and pink. Her long dark drown hair framed her face perfectly.
My thoughts were soon evaporated by her voice that was clouded by many times smoking.
"No, nothings wrong. Why would you think that?" She shifted in her sit, furrowing her eyebrows. I leaned away from her.
"No reason. Are you alright? You seem on edge." I said calming, putting my hand her shoulder. She quickly shot up out of the seat.
"I shouldn't have come here." She makes her way to the door, her eyes watering and reddening.
I rush over to her. The door I open, and the wind is whipping the rain into the foyer. Se quickly ran out, and I followed.
"What did I do? Did I say something?" I questioned, shrugging with curiosity.
She looked back at me, contemplating her next words.
I was now in the pouring rain waiting for an answer from a girl I just met. Her hair was now a dark mess, dripping.
"I need to go." She finally said, her voice was hushed because of the loud, pounding rain. Lightening flashed again, lighting up the quiet street.
Morana looks back down the ally all I always seemed to fin her in, and vanished.
