 This was it, wasn't it?

The orange haired figure looked down at the piece of paper they were holding, and then back up to the door. Yes, this was it, and they smiled. The first place that had nothing to do with they background life - more commonly known as their work. They had made it very clear that they would refuse it if it was even considered to be used for his work. They just wanted a small part of their life to be normal, and this seemed perfect.

They knew they were going to be sharing with four other people, though their names, for now, were unknown. They'd find out soon enough. That is, if they were mentally prepared enough to actually talk to their roommates. You'd think that with their backstory, they'd have no issue with people, but social anxiety wasn't so easy to overcome. But they couldn't wait out here all day.

And so, with their suitcase of baggy sweaters, cardigans and skinny jeans, and their rucksack of notebooks and a laptop, they walked up to the door, faltering every so slightly before knocking at the door.

The guy who opened the door wore glasses. They weren't as nerdy looking as WattPad's were, but they still suited the person wearing them. He was smiling, and cocked his head to the side to look at the tiny person before them. And tiny was an understatement, because WattPad was 4"6, and knew it well.

"You're the new kid right?"

"Uh- Th-that's me!" WattPad tried to sound confident than they felt, and although the guy didn't fall for it, he smiled anyway as he stood to the side.

"Come on in."

WattPad did so, and their eyes darted around as they did. The hallway they had been presented with was narrow, and the wallpaper was peeling, but it soon became apparent that the hallway was the only part of the uni house that hadn't been redecorated. The colour theme of the whole place was shades of pale blue and green, except for the kitchen which had touches of brown to it too. It was a nice brown, warm, and welcoming. The guy who had answered the door took WattPad's bag from him gently and placed it at the bottom of the even narrower staircase with the reassurance that he'd take it up to their room for them after introducing them to everybody.

WattPad was lead to the living area after they'd placed their rucksack with the suitcase.

"Oh," the guy said, placing his hand at his forehead, "I totally forgot to introduce myself didn't I? I'm Quotev. I'm the oldest here. My major is Psychology."

WattPad nodded in understanding, and was slightly relieved when Quotev didn't pause to wait for their reply. In the living area, there were two other people. A male with black hair covered with a beanie, and a hood, sat on the sofa leaning forward, and a female, with blue and pink hair, tied back in a messy bun, sat on the floor with her legs crossed, and back resting on the sofa. They were playing video games, and it was only too obvious that neither were really being as competitive as you might have thought them to be.

"Guys, the new kid's here." Quotev clapped his hands to get their attention.

The male paused the game, and they both smiled up to WattPad.

"What's your name?" The girl asked, with a slight hint of an accent.

"W-WattPad."

"Well, welcome WattPad, what's your major?" The male questions after.

"Creative w-writing. I-I want to be an a-author."

They were blushing. Goddamnit, they couldn't even introduce themselves without stuttering. They hoped it wouldn't be held against them, because the three of them seemed really nice, and they assumed the fourth person would be the same.
