Chapter OneAllexandria's POV
|Flashback/Dream|
"I'm home!!" I yelled as I entered the pack house. That's odd. Why does the pack house seem empty? Suddenly alarmed by the emptiness of my home, I tapped into my instincts, I closed my eyes and listen intently so as I could hear even the slightest of movement around the area so that I could tract them and inquire to the sudden emptiness of the pack house but I was left dumbfounded when I found none. My heartbeat quickened. My mind started to fly on possibilities and might I say devastating possibilities of what could have happened to my family. I reached out for my cellular phone from my pants' back pocket and frantically dialed my fathers' phone.
"... Sorry the number you have dialed is unavailable as of the moment ... the number you have dialed is unavailable as of the moment." The other line muttered as I dropped my phone on the floor. I did the most rational thing my body told me to do. I ran. I ran upstairs to my parents' room sparing no single second until I reached the door to their suite. I pushed the door open with too much forced that I managed to split into two entirely.
I hurriedly stepped into their room and suddenly froze with the scene in front of me. Red. It's all I see but this red liquid plastered in my parents' suite is not paint. I am very much sure of that. I am very much aware of what it is.
"Blood" I told myself. A gut wrenching screamed then escaped from my mouth.
|End Of Flashback/Dream|
I was jolted up awake by the sudden gush of cold water splashed at my face. "What the fudging hell!!" I screamed at the figure beside me whom clearly had the guts to throw cold water at me while I'm at my sleep.
"Allex, I'm sorry – well sort of, but there's an emergency and we need your help right now. I couldn't wake you up and you were muttering something about blood in your sleep so I decided to just wake you up the best possible way I could." Cj explained.
"And that includes splashing the fudging water, a cold one at that, to my face? What the hell woman?!" I retorted as I composed myself."Well, I can't pass up the opportunity to execute my revenge on you after that blue balls incident you pulled off the last time." Cj countered with a glint of mischievousness in her eyes.
"You enjoy that too much woman! Now, off you go! I'll follow you shortly. I need to change my scrubs anyway since you practically gave me a bed bath here." I snickered as I pushed my best friend outside the sleeping quarters.
"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're in charge of patient at the cubicle 3 by the way. See you at the war zone." Cj hollered as I closed the door.
I collapsed at the door the moment I managed to locked it. Deep breaths Allex. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Still no matter how I tried to control my emotion, it always gets the best out of me. A tear rolled down my face as I replayed those images that I can't seem to bury in my mind. I clutched at my necklace, the last present I got from my parents before that fateful night as I traced my thumb to the pendant that reminded me so much of my lineage, a wolf howling at the crescent moon. I can't believe its been years since I last saw them. Its been years since I last stepped into my lands. Its been years since I last came home.
I'm Allexandria Crest, the daughter of Alpha Lucian and Luna Antoinette of the Crescent Moon Pack or I guess used to be. The fateful night when I came home when I took a break from my studies were the night I had lost everything. I lost my parents. I lost my family. I lost my pack. I lost everything. I'm the only one left, the last of the Crescent Moon Pack.
