The doorbell rang, and Cass jumped off of her bed and sprinted to the door.
"Cass!" Her mom shouted.
"Already on it!" She exclaimed back, as she opened the door. Her best friend, Maria stood there, holding an overnight bag.
"Sup," she said walking in.
"Let's go!" Poked Cass, as she grabbed Maria's hand and dragged her inside. The two teens sprinted up the stairs, and into the room that belonged to Cass. The room was lit with old Christmas lights, and on the floor was a heap of blankets and pillows. A bunk bed was at one corner with more blankets.
"I have candy!" Squeaked a happy Cass, as she pulled out two bags of gummy bears and chocolate.
"What's with you and sugar, you literally eat nothing besides sugar, what does it do to you?" Asked Marie wearily, as Cass smiled a sinister smile.
"It gives me the energy to hide the bodies of those who displease me." She told her, and sat down, unwrapping a chocolate and put it in her mouth.
"That's great, Cass just frickin fantastic. " Replied the dark-haired girl.
"So do you want to watch a movie or something?!" Exclaimed the hyperactive blonde, as Marie thought, and smiled a dark grin.
"What about anime?" She asked, and Cass's eyes lit up.
"Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!" She chirped, and Marie quieted her.
"Wanna watch Fairy Tail? The beautiful Jellal is in it!" Cass asked as she began to squeal as she thought of the blue-haired former antagonist.
"I was thinking Diabolik Lovers..." Mussed Marie smirking slightly and Cass made an x with her hands.
"Lord no!!!!!!!!! I don't want to stay up all night with Mister Stakey again..." She muttered as she pulled out a deadly stake.
"Your gonna kill someone, aren't you? Well, when you do get caught don't bring me down with you" Marie replied, as Cass smiled smugly.
"That's the point. Ya get it? Point? Sharp stake?" She made finger guns at Marie, as Marie shook her head disapprovingly.
"Cassandra Eleonore Turner! How many times have I told you not to threaten people with that stick?" Came the thundering voice of Cass's mother. She walked in and snatched up the stick.
"Sorry! Don't kill Mister Stakey! He's my only friend!" Screeched Cass, and her mother glared, and Cass looked down, ashamed.
"loser" Marie muttered only loud enough for Cas to her grinning smugly. "How about a wager then " Marie suggested
"The person that wins decides which anime we watch.""Sounds good, " Cas said sneakily.
"In accordance with the rules of no game no life I challenged you to a game, therefore, you can pick the challenge." Announced Marie in a matter of factly tone, and Cass grinned.
"Ok, we are gonna walk to this old cemetery. First one to chicken out loses." Suggested Cass.
"Fine. But you're going down." Laughed Marie.
"We need to wait until my mom is asleep." Told Cass, as Marie rolled her eyes.
"No dip Sherlock." She told the smaller girl. Cass looked at Marie sheepishly.
A few hours of YouTube and other dares later, the two snuck out of the house. Cass wore shorts and a pale pink cat t-shirt with a jacket, and tennis shoes. Marie opted for a black shirt with a rose on it, jeans, a leather jacket,t and combat shoes.
" I'm gonna bring a backpack with supplies because knowing you you'll do something stupid and I'll be bored so you should bring one too" Marie adviced.
"Should we being a phone?" Asked Cass, as she picked up her phone.
"Are you stupid, of course! What if something were to happen?" Sighed Marie.
"Then I would leave you to whatever is lurking there." Reasoned Cass.
"Friendship at it's finest, huh?" Marie snorted, and Cass grabbed her phone and stuffed it in her backpack.
"What do you even keep in there?!" questioned the darker haired girl.
"A set of matches, rope, knife, fire blanket, flashlight, and snacks." Listed Cass, counting the items off on her fingers.
"That's probably overkill." Remarked her friend, as Cass shrugged.
"When the zombie apocalypse happens, I don't plan on dying." She reasoned.
"You're paranoid, but I packed better so it's fine," Marie said.
"Whatever, wait fine for you or for me," Cas asked.
"Fine for me duh," Marie answered. "I have stuff I like to do for entertainment as well."
The two girls slipped outside into the darkened night and skipped down the road to the graveyard, stopping only occasionally to insult the other or gaze up at the full moon.
"Scared, Potter?" Whispered Cass, as Marie looked at her with a 100% done expression.
"The only frightening thing here is your face. And enough with the Harry Potter puns."
"But Siriusly, they're fun to Snape." Laughed Cass, and Marie slapped her softly.
"Hush annoying one." She ordered, and Cass pouted.
"Fine." Cas pouted.
"Move already, you're so slow," Marie said pulling up Diabolik lovers cas' phone.
"HOW THE FU** DID YOU GET MY PHONE!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!" Cas screached.
"Shhh you'll wake the dead at least try to show some respect," Marie said walking past some graves.
"What!?DON"T LEAVE ME!!!!" Cas yelled running to catch up. "Oh crap!" Cas shouted tripping over a rock.Marie's hand shot out towards her friends dropping the phone on the graveyard grass. Screen illuminating the dark area... A little too brightly.
Why the f*** is that screen so bright Marie thought falling over with her best friend.
The sound of dark laughter echoing through the grave chilled the two girls to the bone.
