I didn't choose this life. But I ended up living this way. It's not that bad. It's just hard to get the things you want. I work 3 jobs only getting 5 hours of sleep a day. But that all changed when I met a man at one of my new jobs I recently got. One of the jobs I had was super picky on hours and I came in late and got fired. I became desperate to find another job. I searched in the papers of Big Hit Entertainment hiring for a janitor position. Surprisingly it paid well so I went for it.
"So your name is Haru Yoon?"
"Yes sir." I said confidently"
I'm pretty used to interviews since I had to go around finding as many jobs as I could. It's hard to get a job these days.
"So I see that you're working for 2 other jobs. And you were working other jobs. So it seems that you've got quiet the experience."
"Yes sir. I do."
*After interview*
It seems like I've gotten a job. I mean why wouldn't they hire for a janitor position? After the interview I started to walk home. I passed a hallway with super loud music coming out from it I looked through the window only seeing feet since there were blinds covering the window. I looked away and headed to the door exiting the building putting in my headphones with a sigh as I breath in the polluted Seoul air. I stopped outside the doors looking through my playlist. I clicked on Kwon Ji Yong's newly album and clicked on the song"Untitled 2012". I started walking listening to the artist's voice. I walked a couple blocks until I got to the train station. I walked into the crowded bus looking for a seat. I couldn't find one since they were taken up. "As always" I mumbled to myself. I grabbed a hanging bar and turned up my music. I closed my eyes getting lost in the art's voice.
I opened my eyes as I felt a sudden jerk. The bus stopped signaling the doors to open and letting others know this was a stop. I looked at the sign that said the location I needed to be dropped off at. I got off the bus and started off to my house. Along the way, I always have to pass this sketchy alleyway. It always gave me weird vibes. I reached the sketchy alleyway and heard voices. I paused my music and started to fast walk passed the opening of the alleyway. I glanced over in the alleyway but regretted it.
I saw a group of guys turning their heads my way. I was only wearing a work skirt and low cut shirt so that didn't really help.
"Hey look what we got here guys." One of the boys said giving me a side smirk.
I started walking faster away from the boys.
They started catching up with me. But I started to run with all my might.
The song "Run" By BTS came on making me roll my eyes. "Why now?" I complained to myself.
I took a sharp turn into a narrow road climbing up a weak rusty pipe. The boys spotted me climbing up halfway up the pipe. I started quickly climbing up struggling with keeping my balance. I reached the top of the building and ran on the rooftop. I heard a snap form the pipe and a crashing sound along with some curses. I didn't look back. I kept running. Soon, I reached the familiar rooftop. I unlocked the door and walked inside looking back for the boys seeing nothing but the stars and quiet dark buildings.
