Chapter 11 | Mentor

4 weeks has passed since the encounter with Gray Torchwick who allegedly is the younger brother of Roman Torchwick. Countless of research and there was nothing saying that Roman had a younger brother or anything that is relatively close.

Of course since that day, (Y/N) trained harder, hoping to surpass Gray or to get even more stronger. He just couldn't help, but feel that he too was at fault, He let a criminal get away with loots from the store they stole. The poor old man was trying to make a living and was a peaceful business owner.

But even though (Y/N) swore he would train to surpass Gray or get strong enough just to help defend the peaceful people living in Vale. (Y/N) just couldn't get any stronger in his current form, not to mention Dark has not spoken to him for a month now.

"Agggh!" Using with what little strength he had left, He chopped down the wood in one final swing splitting it apart. (Y/N) made a loud sigh of exhaustion, He dropped the axe and decided to take a breather, He fell backward lying on the grassy ground, looking at the sky, It was bright and cloudy today with no sign of thunderstorms or rain. Suddenly something was blocking the view "I see you've been working hard" It was Ozpin.

"Yeah, I can't just sit around and pretend like nothing is happening" (Y/N) stated "But why train when this isn't your world?" Ozpin asked, curious about his motives "Well first of all, I found out my mom was born here in remnant, and second, I want to put my skills to use" Ozpin raised any eyebrow at his statement "When I was still back at my world, I train out of pure fun since I was so into action movies and whatnot" (Y/N) stated, Ozpin out of pure curiosity had only one thing to say "Spar with me (Y/N)"

(Y/N)'s eyes widen when he said this "Um, what?"
"Spar with me"
"But your a freaking headmaster of a academy for huntsmen and I'll you'll probably whoop my ass" (Y/N) said, earning a chuckle from Ozpin "I want to test your strength and skills (Y/N)" Ozpin stated, looking at him seriously.

(Y/N) sighed and got up "Fine" He then moved away from Ozpin a bit and readied his stance "Now then try to land a hit" Ozpin said as he taunted (Y/N), (Y/N) then quickly dashed towards Ozpin and swing his weapon vertically, but Ozpin quickly ducked down and swiped his legs with his cane, (Y/N) having fast reflexes performed a backflip and avoided it.

Ozpin used this chance and quickly got to where (Y/N) was and jab his cane directly onto his solar plexus, and hit him once more in the leg, bringing him to on knee. Deciding to end this, Ozpin delivered multiple hits all over his body at blinding speed 'his fast!' And hit him in the jaw with his cane making (Y/N) plant his face on the ground.

"That hurt..." (Y/N) moaned as he clutched his stomach grunting, He slowly got up glaring at Ozpin "I thought you were gonna hold back on me" (Y/N) said, slightly angry. Ozpin chuckled and planted his cane in front of him letting his arm rest on top of it "You were way too relaxed and you had your chin up, making an easy target for a knockout punch, and most of all you mainly focus on offense and not paid attention to your Aura" Ozpin stated and (Y/N) just looked at him.

"Mr.(L/N) if I were to hold back on you, Then wouldn't you have the advantage?" (Y/N) rose his eyebrow, curious of what Ozpin had said "I know for a fact (Y/N) that you inherited your mother's fighting skill-"
"And my father's good looks" Ozpin chuckled at his statement before taking a seat on the ground "And that, But besides that (Y/N) you also have that special ability like the Kings has"

"And what would that be?" (Y/N) asked, taking a seat beside Ozpin "Well that would be your inner demon"
"My inner what now?"
"Basically, there's another being inside of you..." Ozpin furthered explained to (Y/N) on what he had found out so much about this "inner demon" of his.
(Too lazy to write about this tbh)

"Hmmm, that was interesting..." Ozpin then stood up and once again moved away from (Y/N), (Y/N) looked at him confused on what he was currently doing.

"I want you to spar with me again, but this time use that inner demon of yours" Ozpin said seriously as he took his stance this time.

(Y/N) nodded and stood up, He grabbed his weapon and took his stance, He then closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to feel and use that power on his own. Slowly, but surely he can feel something radiating off from him and that same feeling that Dark took over his body to fight off the Grimms.

(Y/N) then opened his eyes and soon found out that he was glowing, A (F/C) aura was engulfing him and constantly rising. Ozpin looked at him amazed, He could feel the atmosphere was getting intense, and he himself was a bit nervous.

(Y/N) then dashed at Ozpin at a incredible speed, but Ozpin was able to follow his movements, (Y/N) swung his sword at Ozpin vertically, But Ozpin leaned side wards, Once the sword made contact with the ground, It violently shake the ground.

Ozpin then kneed (Y/N) in the stomach causing him to hover a bit for a few seconds, but Ozpin quickly followed with straight jab to his face making him fly across the field.

(Y/N) used his sword and dug the tip of his sword on the ground and hold onto the handle, slowing him down.

He then looked up and saw Ozpin rushing at him.

(Y/N) quickly stood up and readied his sword. Once Ozpin came close he them thrust his cane forward, But (Y/N) was able to parry it, He then quickly delivered a side kick, and a left hook.

Ozpin quickly recovered and backed away 'He managed to land a hit' Ozpin then regained his composure and took his stance. (Y/N) let out a war cry and dashed at Ozpin at a much more incredible speed appearing in front of Ozpin looking like he teleported 'He's fast!' Ozpin immediately ducked down when (Y/N) tried to hit Ozpin in the head.

Ozpin then jab (Y/N) with his palm, causing (Y/N) to wheeze and lose some air. He then quickly followed by doing a left hook, causing (Y/N) to spin around, Ozpin then sweep his legs making (Y/N) fall to the ground with his back facing the ground. Ozpin then raised his feet up and immediately slammed it down at (Y/N)'s stomach, causing him to lose air.

Once Ozpin delivered that attack, (Y/N) had emitted a (F/C) aura and flickered, signifying that his aura has been completely depleted.

"Agh, Ozpin you were way too ruthless" (Y/N) moaned as he rolled around the ground clutching his stomach 'He almost caught me off guard'

"You did well (Y/N) but you still haven't took in my advice, I'm disappointed in you..." (Y/N) hung his head down when Ozpin said this "But I see something in you, so as of today, I will be your personal mentor" (Y/N) looked at Ozpin dumbfounded when he said this, but at the same time he was excited. Being able to train under Ozpin was something he didn't expect, but it is definitely a huge opportunity for (Y/N), with new doors of possibility...
