My heart was racing with...a lot of emotions, if I had expected him to come over then maybe I would be calmer. I move out of the door way "um hey... so uh....you can come in..."
The boy walked into my apartment and I close the door "how did you know my room number...." I ask curiously. The boy looks at me "I asked someone who works here. Duh"
I sigh at how dumb I sound "obviously......." I say. I walk into my kitchen and he watches me "um so....I'm not good at this social thing..." He said awkwardly.
I giggle softly and he gives me a weird look "what's so funny?" He asks. I bite my lip, I look down at my hand and I see the same gosh dang ribbon! Why is this always here when I'm near him. He must of seen me because he said "why are you starting at our hands? Is something wrong with them...?"
"N-no! Uh....um...." I sigh. How can he not see the ribbon, it confused me so much. The boy just kinda shrugs it off "what's your name?" He asks. I hesitate for a moment "it's Kerensa....I know it's an odd name..." I said quietly.
He nodded and said "my name is Carter". He went quiet and I noticed him looking at photos of me and my family. I give him a questioning look "is something wrong...?" I asked. He glanced at me "sorry, but I have to go" he said as if he was in a hurry.
Just like that he leaves my apartment and runs down the stairs. I didn't try to stop him so I didn't seem desperate for attention.
I closed the door and I went over to my laptop. I decided to look up what the stupid ribbon I kept seeing meant. So I did a Google search.
What I found shocked me. To sum it up it said 'any two people who are connected by this ribbon are soul mates. It may take you awhile to see the ribbon but it's there and always has been'.
