Grayson Henderson

I couldn't believe what just happened.

Me.

Grayson Henderson.

Denied.. Fucking denied.

Who does she think she is? I am going to get her, if it's the last damned thing I do.

Taking a deep breath, I walked into the living room with my parents, and Avalon's parents. I sat on the couch, and they all looked at me expectantly.

"Well?" My mother asked.

"What?" I asked in return.

"You're 17, sitting in a room with parents." My father answered for her.

"You're right. What was I thinking?" I snorted.

"Watch it, son."

"Whatever, Dad. I'm leaving."

I said, and began walking up the stairs. Turning a corner, I reached a long hallway with various rooms on both sides.

The first room, was a bathroom. The second, a spare bedroom.

So was the third, and the fourth, and fifth.

There were two rooms left.

On the left, I was guessing it was Avalon's parents' bedroom. The last door, I assumed it was Avalon's.

Her door was closed, and I could hear a soft voice coming from the inside.

Stepping towards the door, I gently put my ear to it, and I could faintly hear Avalon's voice.

' Baby, I love you, you are my life

My happiest moments weren't complete if you weren't by my side

You're my relation in connection to the sun

With you next to me, there's no darkness I can't overcome

You are my raindrops, I am the seed

With you and God who's the sunlight I bloom and grow so beautifully

Baby, I'm so proud, proud to be your girl

You make the confusion go away from this cold and mixed-up world '

Her voice was like a soft melody, consuming my ears and drowning me in a sweet field of orchards and lilacs.

I'm Grayson fucking Henderson. I don't think those type of things.

I opened her door as quiet as I possibly could, and I'm guessing it was pretty quiet as she didn't hear me enter the room, close the door behind me, or walk up towards her where I was an arms length away.

Still, she never stopped singing the song.

"Avalon?" I decided to speak.
